After talking to a financial counselor, it really is the best option. I'm thinking chapter 7.
-
Yikes!
If you're already talking to a financial counselor, what advice do you think The Bore has? The best you can hope for is AiA pointing and laughing at you. (But he does that to all of us.)

Paging Kara for advice.

I'd give some advice but bankruptcy is out of my field of practice. I just know it's expensive, which is ironic.
-
Have you considered selling ass on backpage to make enough money to dig yourself out of bankruptcy? Just a thought.

Really? There's a host of things you should consider doing before filing for bankruptcy, which I'm assuming you already tried.
Good luck, dude.
If he talked to a financial counselor than yeah, he probably needs this. Bankruptcy isn't the worst thing in the world, and if you're close enough to consider it your credit is probably fucked enough that it doesn't matter either way, so why spread the pain out.
As long as you don't have student loans or owe anyone for something dui related you should be fine.

Yeah, it was more just me sussing out how shitty of a situation it is rather than telling him to try harder.
As someone with a decent wage and medium living expenses, it still strikes me as crazy how shit can pile up so fast. Oh, need a root canal, fuck, dog broke his ankle, fuck, need to replace exhaust on my car. When it rains it pours. A month like that can really put you on your ass.
I remember when a producer of mine in France had his son hospitalized for two months. Everyone asked me if he lost his business and it really hit home how fucked we are here. I think it cost him roughly 200 in paperwork fees where here he'd have lost his house and business.

Well, you need an attorney and they charge money usually. There's a bankruptcy guy in my suite and I think for a personal bankruptcy, it costs at least like $1,200 to get the initial stuff together and filed. Chapter 11 Corporate bankruptcy otoh costs like $10,000 plus to start I think. Then again, probably depends on the state since attorneys charge different depending on location.

I love how everything that happens to filler sounds like plotlines in a TV show that went on too long.
