For me it's Mass Effect, Zelda, Sonic Mania, Yakuza 0, Neir, Persona 5, Uncharted starring bae and of course RDR2.
Too lazy to post anymore on why and to check for other stuff. But that's the shit that stands out to me. Hardware wise I'll pick up a Switch and Scorpio as soon as I can afford them.
-

Dawn of War III
Dragon Quest XI
Horizon: Zero Dawn
Mario Switch
Mass Effect: Andromeda

I'm sure there are many others that I forgot about.
-
Mass Effect: Andromeda
Dragon Quest XI
Atelier Sophie
Oddworld: Soulstorm

Y'all better play Ys Origin when it comes to console in February.
If I decide to get a Switch, the list expands!
-
Dont really know whats coming but i dont see anything im confident about 100%, except for new Diablo 3 content.
Lots of stuff that could be good but has devs I dont really trust like Horizon, For Honor, Zelda.
Then there is stuff I hope can surprise me but i know better like Mass Effect, after DA 2/3 and ME3 I really have zero faith in BEAware, but one can hope to a return to form.

Anything with giant robots and cool mecha in it

Fortnite?
i think there might be a Call of Duty game too
oh plus Star Citizen obviously and Agent of course...not to mention Beyond: Good and Evil 2
-
how could i forget
KNACK TWO BAYBEE
-
one negative thing about Bulletstorm is that we won't get it for free like a lot of these remasters have been doing on Steam because the original publishing deal with EA prevents it
obviously not truly a big deal, but it's been nice getting Syrim and BioShock and stuff, and I guess they wanted to do it that way too
-
A Finished FFXV

-
I missed Bulletstorm last gen but I always wanted to try it so yay
-
Nidhogg 2
Hello Neighbor
Rising Storm 2: Vietnam
South Park: The Fractured But Whole
I didn't play any game in 2016, let alone anything released this year.
Looking forward to playing Doom and Dishonored 2 in 2018.
-
I'm looking forward to maybe playing a bunch of games from 2016 that I didn't touch or play much of this past year. Too much shit going on or too little time. Fuck 2016. :punch
Anyway:
Yakuza 0- I have never played any of these games and this seems like a good one to start with!
Persona 5- One of the few JRPG series I actually like. Will I finish it? Doubtful! But will still get some enjoyment from it.
Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash- AKA GOTY 2017.
Mass Effect Andromeda- Am actually less interested after game play was shown, but still looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
Nier Automata- Never played the original, but don't care about that- am here for Platinum.
Tales of Berseria (Maybe)
School Girl Zombie Hunter- Third-person shooter spin-off of Oneechanbara. Should be wonderfully awful camp.
Horizon: Zero Dawn- Not sure if I am going to get this, but am interested.
Gravity Rush 2- Good way to start off the year!
Sonic Mania- Wow, maybe a good SANIC game after all these years?
Fate/Extella (English): Really like the Japanese version and will definitely be buying it again in English.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole: I still need to finish up the first one...
Tekken 7: FINALLY coming home.
Nintendo Switch n' games: I'm cautiously optimistic.
Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite- If it actually comes out next year, that is.
Dragon Quest Heroes II (English)- Hope this comes out for Vita, too.
Musou Stars- More Warriors Orochi-style musou madness? Yes please! I like the new mechanic where the game turns into a "rave" and everyone's weapons become glow sticks. :lol Fucking crazy.
-
Everyone excited for 2017 games when you got half of 2016 and all of 2015 yet to play
-
Zelda, Persona 5, and of course future GOTY Necromancer expansion for Diablo 3.
-
NBA2K18
COD
BF2
Titanfall 3
-
Red Dead 2, kinda surprised I'm the first to mention it
Shenmue 3 out of morbid curiousity
That's it, I guess. I didn't realize it til this topic but I'm really not looking forward to anything new :/ I'll grab a Switch when they're 50$ in two years to check out Mario and Pikmin
-
Ah I ctrl f'd 'red dead' and missed that, whoops
-
Bloodstained :gloomy
-
Injustice 2, Forza 7, Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite and Hitman Season 2 for sure. And that's pretty much it. Maybe Crackdown 3 and Scalebound.
Dry year :yeshrug

Please god give me some time to catch up with my shameful backlog
-
Please god give me some time to catch up with my shameful backlog
Good luck with that!
I find as I get older, my tastes broaden more and more and so there are even more good games to catch up on.
-
I've got several hundred unplayed games on my Steam account. There's no help for me.
-
Oh man I forgot there is two Cthulu games coming
Also a prequel to Shovel Knight
-
per so na
-
Persona 5. Disgaea 2 PC (despite owning the PSP version). Maybe Resident Evil 7... maybe. The demo was alright, but I think Capcom's clearly signaling the series hasn't been for me past 4 for a while. Marvel vs Capcom 3 PC. Final Fantasy 12: International hitting the US finally.
Only two of those on console (for now). Persona 5 is dependent on if the PS3 version is still happening. I'll probably wait for the eventual PC port of FF12. RE7 will be gotten on Steam sale later in the year or next year (2018).
Otherwise I'm trying to cut my purchases down significantly and focus on things I already own to go through.
-
Warframe
Seriously though
Persona 5
Mass Effect Andromeda
Nier Automata
Horizon: Zero Dawn
Gravity Rush 2
Prey
And a bunch of 2016 and earlier games (i just added Witcher 3 and all its DLC to the list) :lol
Though i could see myself playing Warframe :goty

Shenmue 3 is in a tough spot
No on played the original so they need to release a hd remaster, but if they do that no one will buy it
-
Nier 2
Nioh
Trails of Cold Steel 3
Kingdom Hearts 3
FFXV complete edition
FFXIV Stormblood Matsuno Raid
Zettai Zetsumei/Disaster Report 4
Dragon's Quest XI
Can't really think of anything else I'm looking forward to. There's stuff which I'll pick up and could be great, but not really hyped about and keeping expectations low like Horizon/Super Robot Wars V/Ys8 PS4
-
Watched some Nioh and now want that too

Try the demo. It's a lot of fun. First souls knockoff to great the formula right imo. At first it seems even tougher than souls but that's just because you're low level and have shit equipment. Game is just like souls, once you grind out some levels, game becomes easier. It's basically Medieval Japanese souls, so like the armor sets are cool samurai shit and the combat is even better than DS in some ways because it's more samurai parry focused.
I've avoided the trailers, because the alpha demo was enough for me. But definitely looking forward to it.
-
It doesn't play like NG at all from the alpha demo. It played like Souls melee combat but with some of the cool melee stuff you get in Japanese action games like Onimusha. You're definitely more agile than a medium build in souls, and the movelist seems a lot deeper (guessing there's fewer weapons). It's not a twitch fast character action game like NG/DMC/Bayo. But it's a more agile and slightly faster souls melee. Actually I think the closest comparison would be like Souls combat x Way of the Samurai combat?
+ Ninja magic which I guess is closer to NG there.

Yeah they're going all out with the presentation. Some pt last year on their twitter they revealed they were shooting FMV stuff for main menu and tutorials.
-
Is Cyberpunk 2077 coming this year?
Probably not. Maybe we'll see a trailer for it.
-
Nier, Ruiner (http://ruinergame.com/) (cyberpunk isometric action), Tower 57 (http://store.steampowered.com/app/530950/) (isometric action), Chasm (http://store.steampowered.com/app/312200/) (sidescroller, guessing it will make 2017)

"Procedurally generated levels is music to my ears" Can't tell if this is tongue-in-cheek. Looks like a 3D Teleglitch.

Lego City Undercover is coming to PC and relevant consoles.
I'm almost embarrassed that I'm excited for this.
