Just started this and it seems alright, wonder how bad the timer shit will be as that will determine a lot of enjoyability

Post by: archnemesis on February 04, 2017, 03:07:44 AM: The timer is not bad at all. It resets completely several times per day. I'm up to story chapter 7 and I find it shallow and unbalanced. I will probably go back to Pokémon Go in a few days.

Have you played any other game in the series? All the portable games are really good.

Post by: bluemax on February 04, 2017, 07:34:05 PM: I re-rolled once on the first day and got 2 4 stars and 1 5 star (Lucina). Then today I did another pull and got 4 4 stars.

So far it is fairly easy, I haven't even really run out of stamina because I get bored or move on to other things before it does.

RNG for the type of characters you can get. (Wanted a specific colored type of unit and didn't get that colored circle on the summon screen? Too bad, you're out 5 orbs).
RNG for the character you're gonna get.
RNG for the RANK of the character you get (WHY? /Getting/ a character you want is hard enough as it is!)
RNG for the stats of the character you get. People claim that the average out once you get to level 40, but you can still get massively screwed over the course of leveling if the game just wants to fuck with you.

The difficulty is totally bonkers too. You're easily too low leveled to beat anything, at their level and its an ok but still easy fight, or overleved and you steamroll the enemy. Not to mention the game is really lacking in content, even for a launch mobile game.

The other thing is, most other gacha games know that they're grind fests so they have auto battle options for when you're grinding stuff that doesn't require thought, but there's pretty much no way to make that work in FE so the grinding is just going to be even more tedious.

I feel like the drop off for this is going to be even worse than Mario or Pokemon.

Up to Chapter 8 and having a good time, but I can very comfortably bail as soon as I start getting a whiff of paywall.

Getting specific characters who are 4* or 5* is basically asking people to win the lottery in this game. I'm good with my shit team

Is dumbed down, but is still way better than a regular gacha waifu game. The problem is that at certain point you will need a) Rank up characters to become viable in later levels (so grinding for materials) or b) using the gacha to get decent units (so requires luck and either money or grinding a limited resource)

The gacha is so bad... I got a five star Chrom aim a random pull but jack shit units when I pay. At least love live gives you something after a tenth pull or Puzzles and Dragons having seasonal gatchas with decent stuff.

I tried force quitting the app to see if it would let me re-roll for free but alas it did not. I decided to not go in for 4 more red characters given that my best characters are ALL RED.

Worst gacha system ever.

Played through opening and first two adventures. The introduction of "THIS IS MY POWER" didn't include instructions on how to activate the power. Tried everything, including double-tapping the player-character icon. This ended the turn. The character with the special power died. I still don't know how to activate powers.

Also I didn't even realize until today that unlike a lot of Gacha games your max stamina never increases.
