Title: Please remind me what the best Genesis soundtracks are

Hey Bore, sorry I haven't been around lately! Been hella busy with study, work, and Magic: the Gathering. I've earmarked some cash for an Xbone and I'm about ready to get BACK IN THE GAME.

There has been one thing which has been ruining my head and demo'ing my health. I know that there's Genesis music thats better than all the rest.
Please share your hard rocking favorite Genesis tunes to help me get through my working day!

Im very partial to the SoR series, also by Yuzo Koshiro

Although it has a few stinkers here and there ( im not too fond of 3 ) its pretty amazing

Revenge Of Shinobi, Streets Of Rage 1 and 2, and Viewpoint (even though the NeoGeo version sounds much better) are what still stand out to me.  The Sonic games, too.

I'm partial to Shinobi III over Revenge of Shinobi... but Terrible Beat when you fight Shadow Dancer. :lawd

The first X-Men game had a funky soundtrack that really meshed with the overall game and level design (which was very plodding). It's not "classically" Genesis, but I have a soft spot for it.

The game wasnt the worst either, I remember the ending movie featuring Bulk and Skull quite prominently
