Title: What's worse in nerd word over usage: Lore or Canon?
Post by: Wrath2X on May 06, 2017, 12:10:09 PM: I like world building in my nerd shit and tend to enjoy it. But lately lore's been thrown around so much that I find myself annoyed at the mere mention of the word, much like how canon became the battle cry of every nerdlinger manchild for years, it just sounds cringe inducing whenever i hear it brought up.

So is "no respect for canon" still all time WOAT? Or is "LORE!" worse now?

I guess the ironic point here is that "lore" in the gaming sense a la wikia fansites is all about it being treated as just more data(-base culture).
