Impressions from the 4100km covered in the last two weeks
Germany:
Should be renamed "under construction", who cares there is no speed limit on sections of the autobahn if you have roadworks every 20km. No one drives hybrids or electric cars, its all diesel, all the time. Better bring cash cause paying by card is not done.
Cant beat a Currywurst mit pommes though!
Poland:
Worst drivers in Europe? Possibly yes. Clear disregard for any rules and human life. Rude. When confronted with bad habits you will get a shrug and a "youll get used to it".
Theory - lack of respect from rules stems from communist times, where there were official rules and then the real rules
Slovakia:
Funny language, funny they have the euro. Bratislava is a funny town. Even their dumplings are funny. Visited hot springs and the water smelled of rotten egg.
Austria:
Vienna is the gold standard of capitals. Imperial to the max, truly has no equal. London is to Vienna how Bombay is to London.
Good apfelstrudel!

Used to drive through Europe as a kid to visit my family in France, although I honestly don't remember much of the driving itself. Did one road trip when I was 15 or so, but in a bus, so still can't relate to your road rage. Which country did you like the most in terms of visiting?
