I used to lol at all the bad trip stories on erowid.org. It was hilarious to read about some random dumbfuck buying "heroin" from a drug dealer, realizing it looks nothing like heroin, and then injecting it into their vein anyway.:dead
Weeb stuff
- Being in my 30s and being a shitposter
Old propaganda posters are great. I found some old mammy figures in a smalltown Oregon antiques shops. I prefer the soviet realism posters though for their visual style. However, I've read some real soviet realism literature and its just terrible. Propoganda in art can actually display art, but such in literature rarely rises above the need to shit out its message and morals.
Other stuff that's weird that I'm into are just quirks. I love old sci fi art, namely graphic novel and magazine covers from the atomic age up to sci-fi book covers from the 70s and 80s. Have a bunch of files of pre-comics code Strange Tales and Horror covers. I have loved classic toy robots, the metal and tin kind, since I was a boy. I have one remake robot. Would probably buy more if I felt like wasting the cash. I have old Sci Fi inspired vinyls, which might be the most "die alone" thing in my treasure trove.
I'm with you on both of these. I'd never read propaganda because that's the shit that would involve a sit down. Then again, I have no issues watching old propaganda reals for the what the fuckism. The only old piece of propaganda that I really see no value in is the one that gets excuses made for it in film classes, Birth of a Nation. I get that it was high budget for it's time but otherwise I find the argument for it to be shallow. For example I can understand how that one nazi director(forgot his name) helped invent film techniques in his reels but I don't so much see it with Birth of a Nation, and I'm the guy who loves silent movies.
Old pulp magazines is something I would collect the shit out of if I had cash for sure. Love those.

Stop making papa Chrono sad.
Why would he be sad?! He gets to be the silver fox of the forums. In fact, I am not sad about posting here, though I do believe several of my friends have literally side-eyed me for participating in an online forum. Some of these are friends who spend unreasonable amounts of time on facebook, so I am IMMUNE to them. The guys who don't participate in those forums (fora) are much more damaging to my psyche, because I KNOW I could be doing better work if I spent more time on self-education and less here with you dopes. My balance is getting better though.
Weird porn.
And pinball.

They had an auction for their props a few months back. If I would've known sooner, I would've gone. They were selling all sorts of hot shit like urinals and dildo drill things.

I didn't say I masturbated to it.
Posting on forums. But I've been doing it since the late 80's, I don't think I'll ever stop.
I think it's a great way to expose yourself to different types of thinking and a creative outlet that is disposable and cheap. Also, it's a lazy way to get news.
It's certainly the one I know best, since it's my favorite and I use it a lot (not to mention, it pays.)
I'm decently comfortable in Java (via Android), Dart, JSX, and a bit of Ruby and Python. Built a shitty game in C#/XNA back in the day too.
There's a couple reasons I like JS:
- New features in ES2015+ are well needed and convince me things are moving in a good direction. Classes, modules, etc. I even gave a presentation at work on these features.
- Functions being so light is great and lets me write expressive, asynchronous, and atomic code.
- Node is great and I can easily now build solid backend apps and APIs. It's used by Firebase for Cloud Functions which is my current backend go-to.
- Electron lets me make desktop apps. (Slack, Atom, Spotify)
- JS has literally eaten the world and there's a plethora of solutions out there to any problem I might run into.
- JSON is da best data format. SQL and XML can go pound sand.
