I'm trying to go as deep as I can in Battlejack without spending a cent. So far I'm doing alright, I've got a full party of 5* characters and I've beaten the main campaign on Normal.
I'm a filthy piece of shitI have that installed but never played it. Modern Combat 5 I think. Graphics look really good.
I got that Gameloft CoD clone and connected my Xbone controller to my Samsung Galaxy S8, suckers be playing with their fingers and I just tear their asses up

Battlejack. What is the hook here?
I've been enjoying the shit out of Titanfall Assault, which is largely the mechanics of Clash Royale but with clearer classes and varied maps. It's good, and I've played a couple dozen satisfying hours, haven't purchased a thing.

I really couldn't get into it. Gatcha P2W bullshit and no ability to command units to hold a hardpoint killed it for me.
I've been dicking around with The Walking Dead: No Man's Land and Fire Emblem Heroes with Magikarp Jump and Pokemon Duels as side games.

That's silly; it doesn't even fit with the game's fiction: Pilots are the agile-est-est motherfuckers ever seen. Titans are their hard shells.
If you want to hold a control point, use Infantry/Grunts/Shielded Grunts and any number of turrets. Shielded Grunts are super good at it.

Can anyone recommend me a decent dungeon crawler I can kill time on the bus? Been looking for ages but never found a good one

Amped Hardpoint. The entire point of the mode is to camp.
Been hooked on Battle Bay (Rovio) for a few months now. It's the closest thing to an FPS I've found on mobile. Has aim-assist, but also has manual shot to pull off some tricky (and satisfying) shots. So, there is a significant degree of skill involved.I tried Battle Bay, and found it to have a hodgepodge of currencies that were largely random and meaningless. I wanted to like it, but the basic gameplay wasn't enough to inspire me to figure out the upgrades and currencies.
The top-end of the ladder is all P2W though, so that kind of sucks once you start butting up to it.
Ah, I'm talking about the Titanfall Assault game, not the FPS.
I will say the DQ 1-3 remakes were dope on phone.
Ah, thanks for explaining. I hadn’t realized it had that built into the design. I basically Zerg rush, and take the control points. I almost never go for turrets or base. Didn’t realize my game play style is the de facto win mode.Ah, I'm talking about the Titanfall Assault game, not the FPS.
As am I. If you "Defend" the points, you get an "amp" going, which speeds up your process to 100. There was no reason (last I played) to assault the base turrets (which was an optional win condition). Just spam your units and cap flags and spam units to "defend"/replace the fallen ones. If you were able to command them to hold lanes better, I'd enjoy it.
(…)
Chrono: Yeah. I'm not even sure why the base win-condition is there at this point since the primary game-mode (cap and hold) seems to be more effective.

Square released a sequel to Final Fantasy Dimensions, but instead of being a story based JRPG like the first, it is yet another gacha game.

no, it originally was a gatcha game that bombed. it was then retooled as a standard single-player game, and that's the version we just got in english.
Square Enix has been very thorough about removing the free-to-play systems from the game, but its basic structure is still that of a social RPG. You don't have to worry about stamina meters, premium currency, or random gatcha pulls, but you're also not going to be exploring caves or overworld fields. You pick a location, a story scene plays out, and you fight a series of battles. Between those sets of battles, you can tinker around with your party's set-up, visit shops, and talk to NPCs, but it's all done through a menu. If you come here expecting a normal Final Fantasy game, you're going to be very, very disappointed.
Square released a "release announcement" trailer for FFXV mobile: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SAgjOhY5is
but apparently it isn't actually released yet.
