Mine is relatively smooth for such an old sports car. About the winters, I think I'm going to be in for a rude awakening.

I'm going to be hanging onto my accord until I'm in my 30s, what are age appropriate cars to purchase or lease once I'm there?

I had a 99 GT convertible like the OP's that I drove in NY blizzards and it was fine. It's a different technique, not a harder one. Certainly not a physical impossibility. It had low profile all seasons on it.

Actually that's what everyone says. The MX-5 is a better value new, the Fiat is better used. There are some other differences like different suspension tuning and the Fiat turbo engine vs Skyactiv.

The pros and cons depend on the driver.
