The whole link up to where I stop sounding it out eats the post. british-columbia seems to be where it eats until it's good to let you link the rest. Why is that?

I am guessing here, but I think it's some input sanitizer going haywire. It's been an issue for a while now.
I don't remember it ever being this bad; still hopeful that it gets fixed.

If you can't post a url, try an URL shortening service. Sure, it's an extra step, but it's a feasible workaround for now.

I'm subtly bothered by the mix between spelled-out and typed-in slashes and dashes in the URL. Took a few exposures to it before I even noticed, but...

"Canada slash British dash Columbia/Vancouver-" (etc)

This is probably a plot to trigger OCD tendencies in fellow forumites, for whatever nefarious reasons. I'm on to you, thisismyusername.  :ufup

It sounded like the word filter had a too ambitious entry that would get overzealous and wipe the post?
