February/March is kinda booked for me on the weekends, but I miss Borecon and am feeling up to do a weekend in Vegas with some of you in a month or two if some of you are interested.

For the record, Vegas with Bebps and Kara was possibly my favorite time in 2016. :)

August 3-5. I'll be there Aug 1-6. Southwest and United were doing some good flight deals for that time when I got my tickets last week, not sure if they are still going on.

Anymore it's just like any other convention or thing like that. Lots of vendors, places to watch games, and game betas and trials to mess with. If this was 5-7 years ago I'd say it was more "insidery" with not much to do but it's expanded a lot in the last few years.

These days I spend like an hour looking around, play my games, and then fuck around in Vegas for the rest of the time in between watching my friends play in their pools. But imo it's worth checking out once if you are interested in fighting games.

Vegas was a ton of fun last year.

-Getting harassed by a cabbie who thought 3 men walking to the penis show were actually walking to the strip club. ??? ??? ???
-Insisting that Andy-kun watch the scene in Xenogears where Chu-Chu gets crucified in public because we'd been drinking for hours and this seemed perfectly reasonable.
-Recording like a fake Cruncheon about the Sega Saturn in a mildly upscale restaurant (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dV1HSscPYSY).
-Our server at that restaurant owning me by refilling my water.
-Eating at a Buca di Beppo but not in its Pope room (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Mw-gZy3CDE).

My favorite part was when we were literally across the street from the penis show and the strip club and he wanted us to hop into his taxi and ride there.

Fwiw, I'm definitely in for Evo weekend. Since it's so far out will wait until a month or two before to book stuff. I'll try to convince Kara to carpool with me again ;)

I definitely want to do a Vegas trip this year and it would be pretty cool if I could line it up when y’all are there. Count me out on evo anything tho, I don’t think I deal with that much of that kind of energy actualized in meat space anymore.

Then again, Vegas has legal weed now, so who knows

yeah man, just get one of those disposable vape pens and roll around with that. it's very helpful in dealing with vegas

Yeah I’d probably skip Evo itself. Just never had much interest in watching video games. We can get some beer and play some poker or something.
