So well written.

Never seen it
PD, we need to have a talk.

Never seen it
you are a year younger than me how couldn't you? this movie was shoved in your face for years after it came out.
-
I didn't watch so many "classic" 80's movies.
-
Growing up in the early 90's the 80's classics where all I had. Early 90's were a terrible time to grow up for movies. No Star Wars, No Indiana Jones, no comic book movies(Batman went to hell after returns), no spielberg big family event films other than Jurassic park.... :(
-
I just didn't watch too many movies when I was young. I honestly didn't watch all the "classic" 80s movies until I hit my teens pretty much. My childhood consisted of love for Jurassic Park, ID4, and T2.

I was too younger for T2 in being under 10 in the early 90's and rather easily freaked out(I was proud to make it through Jurassic Park :lol).
ID4? Meh. Emmerich is a hack.
My childhood was Star Wars, Indiana Jones, '89 Batman, and Ghostbusters

Hook was amazing to me when I was little. It's still good for what it is today imo
Disney was kicking ass in the 90's too

It may make a big difference in that I as a kid did not like disney animated films that much. I saw Lion King, Aladin..etc in theaters but never really got into them. I went INSANE for toy story though.
For kiddie movies I was far more into the muppet movies over disney.
-
You were a god damn dumbass as a child >:(

:lol I'd rather watch The Muppet Movie over Peter Pan or whatever. Now that I remember it I owned hook on vhs and loved it at the time.
My first movies I saw in theaters were Batman and Bill & Ted Excellent Adventure and not a disney movie so I blame my parents
-
That Muppet Christmas Carol is amazing.
As I kid I loved movies like The Adventures of Huck Finn (with Elijiah Wood as Huck)
-
I remember how insanely excited I was to see Muppet Treasure Island in theaters. :-\ I assume I loved it back then.
Carol rocked though. The Muppets died when Jim Henson did but carol was the only post-Jim thing that well had the magic.

Last Action Hero
-
Last Action Hero
huh?
-
Youre saying the 90's sucked for movies or something. Last Action Hero came out in 1993 and its awesome
-
Actually, those movies I mentioned were like pre-teens or whatever.
My childhood was dominated by TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES
I've never been the biggest Star Wars fan - maybe because The Simpsons spoiled "Darth Vader is Luke's father" for me.

My dad ruined it for me. I saw star wars when I was like 6 and watched it far too many times for some reason it took him months to show me ESB but before he did he told me Vader was Luke's dad which made me cry. :-\
-
That sounds like something Drinky would do to his daughter.
-
My top 5 childhood memories (that aren't distinguished mentally-challenged and goth like that other thread):
1) Muppet Babies
2) Back to the Future (1 only, 2 and 3 were terrible)
3) Free Willy
4) Mortal Kombat
5) Drug-infused orgies
-
2 was OK, it was needed to tie it all together. 3 was awesome.
-
How is 3 terrible?

I know youtube links are stupid, but this one is actually worth watching.
