"Black Waves/Bad Vibrations" is a fucking weird song. But in a cool way. Also, I was surprised to hear "No Cars Go" revived for this album.
-
I was driving to work the other morning in total darkness while KEXP started to play Intervention. About halfway through the song, the sun began to rise. It was a surreal moment.

Pretentious as this may sound, Black Waves sounds and feels like existing in a bad dream but being content with it. I <3 it

Uhh, The Arcade Fire is not really that kind of band.

That kind of thinking is a VERY short hop to cutting yourself. lol

I'm describing the sound and overall mood/tone of the song, what they are conveying -- it's what it reminds me of. It's a pretty abstract kind of thing. It doesn't remind me of cutting. You've lost me with your brilliant logic and reason once more.
PS - Cutting is for tards and I feel bad for people who do it.
-
Arcade Fire isn't an emo band, maf. THey're kinda like something Byrne-inspired.
I like the new album and it may indeed actually be better than Funeral, but let's just say the "WOW" factor isn't there this time. That first album really came out of nowhere.

Ive listened to them, they sound like a band people listen to so they can look like a certain type of person lol.

What a futami-esque observation!

::)
I listen because I think TAF is a good band.
TVC: I dunno, I think Funeral is still better. Like you said, it came out of nowhere. But not only did it come out of nowhere, it also had a lot of quality tracks. Neon Bible does, too... but I think the tracks on Funeral are a lot stronger.
