Due to my boss putting in or changing my birthday to a inaccurate date, I failed a specific background check that's automated and me doing my duties or job role would be against company policy, or illegal. :doge

My boss is a pretty good guy.
:idont
-
My CEO is decent. (he could pay me more tho...)
It's the clients that make me want to eat lead most days.
-
- At sales and positioning? Dude's a freaking genius. Issue is, it is so natural to him he doesn't get that people aren't at his level. You watch him work a room and you're like "This guy was put on the earth to do this one thing."
- At leadership, that needs work
You can't really judge people on one aspect, everyone has stuff they're good at and bad at. Though there are some people that are all bad. Lucky for me, my boss isn't one of those.
-
My boss is a great worker and a terrible leader
-
Mine is pretty good at most aspects other than I think he is currently spread to thin, so he sometimes is making decisions to hastily.
-
They forced retirement on my boss 10 years ago and never replaced him. It's been very weird, I exist in limbo.
-
Art Shell sucked.

Is lead like lithium? Is taking it supposed to relax you or something?

This happens more than you think. Are you ITS?
-
No, purchasing.
But all of our ITS guys are contracted out and never see their boss. They just communicate through email.
-
I don't think I have issues with my bosses all the way up to the CO, outside of some bad hires. I think I've said it before but we had 100% turn over on my team in the last year.
The heavily political atmosphere with no performance metrics worth a damn is what I hate though. Ironically, the union people are actually worth the money while a lot of "managers" at my level suck donkey ass at understanding anything technical.

Not sure if.jpg he means the lead from a bullet to the face

I'm my own boss, so pretty shitty.

What about Al?

I'm the second in command. My boss is a great guy in some areas. Makes sure everyone is happy doing their jobs. Business wise though, he's 'eh' sometimes.
He has a tendency to delay things until the last minute. So now I'm doing his job while he is on holiday and lo and behold he didn't finish half the things he said he would.
Although he does help out from his holiday spot so that evens out I guess.
Clients being the worst? I concur. Some clients are the worst. On Monday I had some lady call about a DEADLINE and it had to be finished because otherwise she would tell everyone in her organization and network what a shitty outfit we are.
So I rush the bois and gals to get shit done and they get it done. The cronies she put in charge of it on her side call the next day: "Sorry we can't look at it yet".
"SO WHAT'S WITH THE RUSH AND BLACKMAIL ASSHOLE?" .. I'm sorry, I said: "Oh, that's too bad, maybe you can send us a new proposal for a date and time that would be more convenient for you."
I turn into a proper deadline Nazi though if clients act like the world is ending when we're 5 minutes late. I start to carpet bomb them and all their bosses with e-mails when they miss their deadlines. "I still haven't received a new proposal john, you were supposed to send it to us by 12:00 PM today. It is now 12:05 PM."
Pro-tip: People hate it when IT projects are actually delivered 'on time' because they can't blame the devs or agencies for delays and shitty results when they have to report to their own bosses.

What about Al?
Anybody who doesn't love Al is lying or jealous. Period.
He was as open minded as any reset era progressive minus the constant "niccas" and their rampant fronting.
Did more to support us than anybody else I know. Almost a white MLK. Laugh if you want. Look it up.

My bosses I wouldn't know, my supervisors go from from bubblingly incompetent to an incredibly toxic mix of patronizing (matronizing ?), petty and only very marginally proficient.

I'm my own boss, so pretty shitty.
This was how I felt for the last five years.
Now I've rejoined the workforce, I'm happy with my boss, and happy with myself again.
