Title: Suggest GilloD a new-ish DS game.
Post by: GilloD on January 28, 2007, 09:35:16 PM: Don't gimmie any of the standards I own/owned Dawn of Sorrow, Trauma Center, PW, Mario Kart, Advance Wars, yadda yadda. I'm looking for something that's popped up in the last 6 months or so. I'm almost certain I'm going to snag Portrait of Ruin, but given that I'm going to be spending some 12 hours in the next week either in an airport or on a plane, I'm hoping for some variety. What's the word on Cooking Mama? That DQ game about Tanks and the Slime guy?

Also, do Gamestop et. al. do trade ins on DS games? What's the rate like?

I forgot about Contact, good call. EBA is off because it's a lot like finding someone's shitty iPod shuffle on the floor, but instead you pay 30 dollars for it.

Post by: tiesto on January 31, 2007, 04:51:02 PM: Here's a vote for Rocket Slime - yeah you have your DQ fanbois wanking over it (guilty as charged here) but it's got some fun mechanics. Tank battles rock, the control is good once you get used to the whole stretching to attack aspect, and it's got some small (but easily solved) puzzles. My only complaint is that it's super-easy, and the puns got pretty old after like, 10 minutes of playing. I think the game is aimed at children tho.
