It seems that Bibi pulled this stunt right before Trump is supposed to renew or bail from the Iran deal. Which is why experts argue it was highly visual, in bullet points and somewhat entertaining.

An already discredited record on these sort of theatrics(anyone remember when Iran was less than a year away from a nuke....in 2012? First impression is that this certainly comes off like another cheap parlor trick by Bibi. So put me in the skeptical camp.

There's also some speculation that Israel actually got this via the IAEA who had already gotten it from Iran.

Yes. Over the years Israeli strikes in Syria were mostly to disrupt the transport of heavy/advanced weapons to Hezbollah, so they would bomb the convoys or warehouses where they were being stored. But recently, as the IRGC has been further entrenching its position in Syria the IAF have escalated to attacking actual Iranian positions and facilities Iran has been using to establish a stronger and stronger military presence in the country, especially those in the south (and as such, near the Golan).
