Title: Speedrunning games?
Post by: agrajag on May 14, 2018, 03:56:36 PM: I know there are a bunch of games that lend themselves well to speedruns, and there is a whole speedrunning community, but have there been any games thus far where speedrunning is the main objective? If not, I think it would be a cool little genre. Like racing games mixed with parkour or something. You could have segments where you get in and out of different vehichles to complete parts of the course and other segments where you have to use "platforming" (think something like Mirror's Edge) to get past obstacles. Has something like this been done?

I cant find it right now but giantbomb did a ql of it. It's some sort of Q3a looking game where you have to move very fast through the lvl and it's basically leaderboard based..but not sure if that's what u mean

Are you talking about a mod to an FPS game where you're like hoverboarding through the levels? I've seen videos of that.
