Frozenpunk looks awesome. I'm going to start playing that. I've never heard of it, but I'm watching a play through and it's in my wheelhouse. :hyper

Battletech hurt me ;_;

I can't deal with some of the pre-PS1 design choices. I'm sure there's greatness underneath but the game is tedious af to play. There was some thread on era about how if games need to be fun or the game medium needs to move past that. I think BT is a good example for that question.

Now give some patches or fan-mods and it'll be fine, just like how Fallout 3 was shit on its own but once the modding came in to fix issues it became pretty playable.

My afternoon suddenly became less busy. Installing Frostpunk now.

Edit: You can use the Celsius scale. Purchase justified!

An endless mode would help, but then it would likely get boring real quick. given that it's extremely limited in terms of options.

So, I ended up getting Frostpunk and...

ONE DAY

I WAS ONE DAY FROM THE END OF THE STORM

AND THEY KICKED ME OUT

Went back to my last save [right before I got kicked out] and took some drastic measures to push my city into fanaticism to stave off the end. Shut down all non-essentially production, put my one automaton onto coal gathering, and just tried to hold on. I ended up losing about 70% of my city's population [and killed a few more for being heretics], but I made it.

Well, glad I waited on playing Battletech. Looks like it'll get the patch or fanmods needed to make it a much more enjoyable game pretty soon.

Frostpunk has some DLC [which is FREE!] out today.
