Title: what are you thankful for, brehs?

Had something pretty serious happen last friday. While sitting in my car having negative thoughts and emotions, I figured it's best to be thankful things turned out okay.


I'm thankful for my family  :)

To be relatively healthy and have family members that live a long time.

It's something I have to keep reminding myself because you can easily take it for granted.

It varies. Some days I am thankful for a comfortable pair of shoes. Others I am thankful that I can put a full tank of gas in my car and not have to think about where the money is going to come from.

Mostly I'm thankful that I am lucky.

My wife and kids and family.

With my health/nervous break down the last few weeks it's been amazing to see all these people come up and be so supportive and helpful.

I know I’ve got it pretty decent as far as life goes, but my head doesn’t let me like or appreciate anything. If I’m thankful for anything, it’s that I seem to not have the relatively common problem of comparing myself to other people. I have other things to make me crazy.

I also appreciate my ability to admit when I’m wrong, also known as the rarest skill in the world.

Today my wife took my set of keys, so I couldn’t get to work. My boss laughed and said the same thing nearly happened to him this morning. Three day weekend for nothin

That’s probably more of a triumph thread thing so here’s this:

I’m thankful my family’s finances are finally no longer a thing to be concerned about and causing stress in my life.

Wife, daughter, family, not having to worry about money and my families future.

I have a very blessed life in many ways and I think about that a lot and often :)

Last year around this time my baby girl was prenatal diagnosed with a one-sided kidney disease. Months of uncertainty and anxiety followed.
Last December she was born and she is now as healthy as a baby can be, with the second kidney working perfectly.

By orders of magnitude the 'thing' I am the most thankful for.
