Videos of Smokey Robinson and Diana Ross talkin greasy about the movie. Why are they so upset over this fictional account of the story?
Scroll down and watch the video of Jennifer Holliday. Holy shit
Jennifer Holliday's performance of the Eyen/Krieger show-stopper "And I Am Telling You, I'm Not Going" has been revered as one of the most powerful performances in Broadway history.
Mouth on floor. DAMN

OMG AWESOME.
I'm not going to see this movie though, despite every fucking at person at school talking about it. It really reminds me of what happened when 8 Mile came out. I remember everyone talking about it 24/7 at school, even teachers. I couldn't go outside without hearing the Lose Yourself bassline. Then I saw the movie...it was good, but not omg amazing. Hell my parents LOVED 8 Mile. So far my mom said Dreamgirls was "ok" and my dad said he was laughing in the theater at how dumb it was. My mom was mad :lol

8 Mile was good up until the half hour mark, then it just got repetitive and "meh".

I haven't been to a movie theater in a while. I remember seeing Snakes on a Plane opening night. I can't remember if I saw anything else after that. :(
-
Yea the movie got kinda repetitive after awhile.
The final battle scene is amazing, although more in a "hey that's funny" way than a "hey, that's impressive" way.

If the last act of the film, the big "UR GONNA GET IT" rap battle, was really improvised then damn. Just... damn.
