Oh boy a dumbed down Pokemon and another installment in special fellow fighter are whats it for this year. Oh and a new Xenoblade thing. Which is related to the bad Xenoblade thing.

Post by: Himu on September 19, 2018, 11:08:45 AM: They make games I like and I like their systems. Nintendo GB, GBA. DS, and 3DS were mainstays for me. SNES is one of my favorite systems. The only system I have more games for than the Nintendo DS is the ps2. Switch has games that interest and appeal to me more as an old gamer than ps4. Switch has more platforming and arcade games including my favorite franchises like Zelda and Animal Crossing. Ps4 is my fighting game machine and the occasional jrpg. I just like Nintendo and it’s ok that you don’t but this thread ain’t about that.

I also love Mario a lot.

A lot of the stuff I used to really love like Sony systems are about what’s current but that doesn’t mean that I will find what’s current to be “what’s good”. So people are all about Horizon but I’m kind of done with that kind of game. I’m at a point in my gamer life where I want the predictable, reliable, traditional.

Being a "console warrior" made sense when I was like eight- maybe. Back then the big arguments were "SEGA GENSIS IS THE BEST CUZ IT'S 16-BIT! NINTENDO SUCKS CUZ IT'S 8-BIT!!!" Not really any less intelligent than the drivel on REEEE and the like these days, I suppose.

The Switch is basically the Vita 2.0 with more support and a better way to play games on a TV, so I'm all over it. Happy to buy all the Wii U ports Nintendo does. Just need a few more and I can get rid of the Wii U.

Not every game they make is great, but they’re one of the most prolific characters and very few of the games are total trash.

Also they play on nostalgia. And they saved Bayonetta.
