Asahi Super-Dry is only OK if you're eating something that's already pretty subtle, like sushi or kaiseki-ryori.

I like Sapporo black label, Kirin Lager, but the real men know that Premium Malt's and YEBISU are the only drinkable macrobrews.  :-*

But if you're going for shit conbini lager then I'm partial to Suntory's The Premium Malts.

Yeah I'm generally asking about conbini beers, whatever I can grab out the fridge from a circle K or some shit.

Hitachino Nest is probably my favorite Japanese brewery that I've tried. But for macrobrews, Asahi Super Dry goes down pretty easy, I prefer it to Bud/Coors/American macros at least

Shiga Kogen makes phenomenal beers, hands down the best Japanese brewery I've had before.

Buuuuut if we're talking conbini beers... then THIS IS IT

Chrono says it's terrible, but a large mega conglomerate brewer like Kirin using Galaxy hops (a limited supply, proprietary boutique hop from Australia) makes me laugh. I MUST DRINK IT.

Yeah, so far the entire GRAND KIRIN "crafty beer" line has been a disappointment.

I'm generally making a list of what to look out for when in combinis and need a quick fix, i like having this information before i arrive somewhere.

…those breweries are in konbini and are consistently good.

Baird Wabi Sabi was a good one. Checking out the brewery in Harajuku was cool, lots of bottles from all over the world decorated the place, even some of my locals (Brooklyn Lager, Blue Point Hoptical Illusion)

Eagerly awaiting hitting the craft beer focused liquor store near our AirBNB on Sunday night. And will probably check out Hitachino Lab while in Akihabara.
