My resolutions:
- Get my professional engineering license. Been putting it off for far too many years now.
- Put over half of my gross income into savings and investments
- Try to get halfway competent with either Adobe Creative Cloud or Python. I know those are very different programs lol.
- Do some research on getting a second Masters Degree. I am thinking Finance but want to think about it more.
- Convert to Judaism.
- Take care of myself better.
-
Move to Boston.
-
Bring down capitalism
-
Lose the beer gut
Take another overseas vacation, this time with my girlfriend
Finally work on an RPG Maker game
-
Get laid, do a pull up
-
Don't let it be as bad as this year.
-
Lose 20 pounds. I am working out regularly, but I just have a sweet tooth :stahp
-
lose a little weight and get back into running
get more tats to become even bigger poser trash
remain on my usual bullshit
-
My Y2K new years resolution was to never make one again, 19 years later and still holding strong.
-
✅- Go back to school
- Visit family in France
✅- Make more birthday calls
✅- Play/stream more games
✅- Get inked at least once
- Get back into web development
✅- Love and accept myself more
✅- Or get a cat I can love instead
Haven’t even checked this list since I wrote it, and yet so many completed points. I’ll do the family visit in 2019, probably before or during the summer (haven’t had money for it yet).
Not sure what to add for 2019 since most of my focus will be school and my exams.

I'm in a strange place this year, I don't have any clue what to do with myself, I'm pretty disillusioned by work, some of my friendships are fizzling out and I don't really have anything to dedicate myself to. I can't make any resolutions this year except maybe I'll try and find something that makes me happy I guess.
-
I'm a developer and I hate it, what I hate is being desk bound and what I hate more is it's only so cause my boss is old as fuck, every other manager doesn't give a shit where you work from
-
Resolutions are for losers.
-
Lose weight and get into better shape. Seeing a nutritionist in a few weeks to get a new diet plan.
:salute

What engineering path are you trying to get certified in?
-
Social engineering, aka the benji path :rimshot

I'm gonna fuck some Asian girls and drink more
Just follow the more likely path and try to become the first "straight" contestant on RuPaul. You'd make such a pretty girl.
-
- Get accepted into art school.
- Draw and paint every day.
- Lift some weights.
- Acquiesce from expressing myself in any elaborate - Himu-esque - manner and submit to the reality of my own ignorance.
- Try to learn to be stop being so extreme about opinions and dial down the passion. Research better before making wild opinions and proclamations as if truth.
- Ignore things that make me unhappy. Or at least try to not engage in a real manner.
- Read more to fill in gaps of own intellectual and cultural ignorance. The past few months I've kept it at one book a week minimum, and I'll continue to keep it that way.
- play guitar more and purchase a classical guitar.
- work on my depression rather than continue to stew in it and accept it as normal.
- seek out a therapist.
- quit drinking.
- Make amends with those I've harmed or hurt knowingly or unknowingly.
- Maybe start dating again once all of the above are covered.
- Travel a bit, play at some arcades, level up in fighting games, enter a few tournaments.

Alright, I'm gonna go back 3 years and see how I did:
2015:
Instead of doing a bunch that sound ideal but I never stick with "exercise regularly!", I'm making things simple this year because I really mean it:
1) Make a videogame
That's my goal by Jan 1, 2016. To have a finished game for you guys to talk shit on.
Nope
2017
To become more of a casual gamer. Once I finish FFXIV and Watchdogs 2 which are the current games I'm in the middle of, my resolution is to not play any game that's longer than 20 hours for at least 6 months. This will free up a lot of time for other things I enjoy. My goal for 2016 was to play more games, rpgs-especially and I did & enjoyed that, so now it's time for the opposite of almost no rpgs in 2017.
Sorta. 2018 is the least amount of games I've played in my life in a year. But part of that was social and part of that was that some of the stuff I did play this year was like 100+ hour long games which kept me from playing much else.
2018
-Get a personal trainer and hit the gym regularly to lose some pounds/tone out a bit.
-Write and design, 2018 year of creative time again
-Play The Witcher 2 & 3
Hey, I sorta did on #1 there. No personal trainer but been working out a lot this year and daily for the last 2 months straight, lost weight, toned out, gained muscle. Happy with this.
#2 - Hmmmmmmmmm, I wrote a short story, a movie short concept, did a painting and some other stuff. And I made like 50 events with my meetup group and hosted them so I'll give this a win here too.
#3 - Nope lol, didn't get through almost any backlog at all this year? But that goes hand in hand with not gaming as much.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2019 Resolutions - Let's see if I can hit 3 for 3 this year:
#1 Play the fucking Witcher 2 & 3 already
#2 Be in a fulfilling relationship with someone I feel I could potentially marry in the years following
#3 Visit more Bore members I haven't met yet or I haven't seen in forever like Brandnew or Mr. Gundam.

Your only real resolution should be to not join a religion and in anything you do, don't jump in 150% tbh

Instead of losing weight, I'm just going to hang out in rural Wal-mart's more. I'm tired of shopping at Whole Foods and having these beautiful, skinny people fitness-shame me by walking around in my vicinity.

Get more filler likes ::)

Finish this one damn book I've been trying to read for over a year now. Knowing I'll probably fail that it's best I don't make any other, more drastic resolutions like getting in shape or not dying etc.
-
-start exercising, no excuse now since my apartment building has a free gym in it
-read more non-fiction
-do dry january for once and see if i can cut back on drinking and smoking entirely
-travel more
-become a corporate stooge and make as much money as i can
-
Maintain a little more positivity.
Lose some weight - I'm getting to the age where body parts start complaining about to much weight on them. Hello, knees.
Set some goals. I recently came to the realization that I've never set any goals in my life. At least nothing to focus on. Most things just happen in the short term.
Fix my shit posture.
