Is badass, I really like this version of Punisher. The new antagonist is a crazy religious nut, but I cant say much about him yet since I'm only on episode 5. So far it's pretty intense though! Anyone else watching this?

I’m on episode nine of the first season still, so I am only looking forward to this. I think this actor is perfect for playing Frank castle. I mean, I can’t picture anyone better suited to it, and the man is a serious talent. I do feel the series is stretched out to meet the number of episodes they wanted, rather than what services the story.

Didn't even know this was out, lol.
Season 1 was... alright, though Castle was boring as fuck, i'll give this a watch when i have time.

This isnt the punisher I want so i never cared from the jump

the punisher arc in daredevil was pretty good, if s2 is more of that i'll be happy

I liked season 2. They really go in on how he's just a damaged asshole rather than a cosplay dork pretending to be righteous. The generous serving of exposition was probably due to the current political climate.
It did nothing to make me like Madani though. She's just boring.

Just finished it, that was dope af

How many flashbacks to his wife getting killed are there?

Weren't they shooting anothe JJ? I assume that'll be the last one.
-
JJ s3 is the last thing, unless they announce a new show (lmao) or renew Punisher or JJ again (unlikely.)
DD, LC, IF, and Defenders are all ded.

rip kara, he will be missed

I think Disney's just pulling all their IP into a Disney direct streaming service. It's about maintaining control of their own stuff.

The shows can't be revived on another service for like 2-4 years or something. Sooooo have fun waiting. :P

You and I both know Disney plans around the long game.

Oh for sure Disney is planning more Daredevil. But it's gonna be an all new show and continuity (with actual name-drop ties to Avengers instead of "green man" and "flag waver.")
The "new continuity" being MCU proper, and not some amorphous "Marvel TV" mess.
Honestly this was all probably inevitable after Inhumans flopped so badly. It was a huge passion project of the dude running Marvel TV. And keep in mind Marvel TV and Marvel Studios are pretty siloed as far as "corporate continuity-sharers" go.
So now Marvel TV is basically getting a giant axe, and Marvel Studios is entering "TV" properly with Disney's service.
Hence A-List MCU actors like Hiddleston and Olsen getting shows. Full shared continuity will be possible, but it's at the expense of the current age.
Maybe the new MCU DD show (with all recasted actors, nache) will be just as good. I think that's doubtful so I'm upset at the corporate dickwaving.

Pretty waxy season, but the fight scenes are nicely brutal. I don't really mourn that it (likely) only lasted two seasons. The Punisher is always going to be an awkward fit for screen media.
I'll hand it to the marvelflix people though, they are pretty damned skilled at humanizing the villains.
