Also a work out question: what are some good things to do on my own in preparation for going to the gym? I want to do something before heading off to the gym. Dumbells? Pushups? etc

Well to be honest, and completely honest, no one just comes up to me and starts talking, rather I have a random conversation sometimes coming to or from class via the bus or usually I make friends with the people I sit next to in my classes (I talk a LOT :(). So yeah, I find it's easier if you carry the conversation - and you know who you want to approach.

but yeah I get approached for convo here and there, and I do the same.

Honestly dude just go in with a positive attitude, thinking you can do this, and look foward to doing it. No prep needed, actually since your on campus ask someone one of the trainers at the gym to hook you up with a beginer plan, luckily I have friends that help me out, but I've seen plenty of people who WANT to go to the gym and that's what the trainers are there for.

Very cool people dude don't be afraid, and grab a gym partner who is motivated, it will keep you motivated. I also drink creatine before I lift - the one I got tastes like lemon :gay

eh it's the internet I’m usually doing homework regardless and get burnt out from trying to type properly on paper and collect my thoughts in a sophisticated manner - honestly I'm online a lot because:

a.) I'm a closet nerd ;p

b.) I have TONS of homework - and I'm really anal about homework, if I have something to study or read, I’ll sit here and bullshit while I read, take notes, fuck around with you guys, and just continue with it.

Being said sometimes I just type really fast, and don't read what I write.

Yea

I'll call the local rec and ask them about their facilities; I haven't been since my competitive basketball days.

Hopefully I can start towards the end of next month - I need to get my school shit in order first lolz.

She makes about three hundred less than she needs to live per month. So i'm like, "yeah, good luck with that" and i'm out. Okay, i didn't really say that, but that was the gist of it. Or "jist". i don't know which and i'm too lazy to google it.

i get home and i've got two emails from her, basically stating that she really likes me (i felt that), that she can tell i'm a good guy, and that she hopes she didn't scare me off by being upfront about her situation.

Okay, given the fact that i'm not going to call her beyond telling her sorry, this isn't going to work yadda yadda, do i buy the power supply and hard drive for my new computer now, or should i wait for my tax refund to be deposited into my account?

well it depends. I say wait because technology always finds a way of going on sale when you least expect it, plus stores usually have a "tax check sale!"

As for your dilema. I dunno if you really like someone, I think you should like them for them, it seems like she's carrying a lot of baggage, and from your posts and what I can gather about you, NOW isn't the time for that for you. I mean sure there are such things as lasting mature relationships that you find people in, but for you dude, no.

Also - I think you can do better, a craig's list, in debt momma? I mean if you really like her go for it, but if the hand was already out for the dollar, I say no.

She didn't post a pic, just a description. i took a chance and she's actually pretty cute. Her description just said "interracial", and she ended up looking kinda like the interracial (black + jewish) woman on SNL... the one that played in the classic "Special Christmas Gift" video. The woman i met was a little darker than her though, but similar features. Speaking of looks, one of these days i've got to get a pic posted. :'(

And no, there's no way i'm going for anything with her. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario here isn't it? On one side you want to protect your friends feelings, but at the other you don't want to lie to him. I'd say ignorance is bliss for the most part, I mean if it's behind his back, then I'd say it's not going to hurt him more or less then if he heard what was going on.

The *right* thing to do would be to tell him, but god knows how many times I said I wanted to hear it and I didn't so don't and say you did ;p
