-DOOM Eternal
-Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2
-Cyberpunk 2077

I guess that's mostly what I'm interested in.

Basically these two and maybe the Division 2 hitting Steam release date (or not, I guess. #FuckEpic ) and maybe Biohazard 3: Last Escape REbirth.

Last week Jeff declared that there's a few friggin' cool unannounced projects we'll hear about at the show so it'll be interesting to see what those are along with maybe hearing details about the new Switch model which totally isn't coming you guys.

Can't wait to be underwhelmed by Nintendo as usual. Still, I'd rather sit through 1000 E3 Nintendo Directs than any of the embarrassing live stage shows the other clowns put on. Those fucking things are an exercise in how to make 30 minutes worth of announcements take 3 fucking hours.

Microsoft and Ubisoft still have potential to get me excited.
Nintendo only if they show Bayonetta 3 (or i guess Astral Chain).

Everything else, i don't think they'll have anything relevant to me.
Not super excited for FF7R, don't think Bethesda is showing Evil Within 3 (if it even exists) and kind of interested in seeing smaller stuff like Biomutant, but certainly not "hyped" for it.

Sony not being there is a big deal, but then again, they'd just show the same 4 games again, so i'm good.

Capcom has no major game outside of the Monster Hunter World Iceborne expansion coming out, until 2020's spring (or when their fiscal year ends), so they're not gonna show R3make.
They seem fond of quick turn around from announcement to release nowadays.

Anything Cyberpunk 2077 and possible FFVIIR demo is my only hype.  With Sony being a no show, my expectations are much lower... that way I won't be disappointed and will enjoy it better.  :doge

I may pee a little if they show some TESVI though.

I may pee a little if they show some TESVI though.
They seem to have finally abandoned the ICan'tBelieveIt'sNotGameBryo engine, and using photogrammetry, so that's cool.
Also moving away from Skyrim's Norse setting is also a plus.

This will not have a big Capcom game for the first time in a while, so that already sucks. But I'm interested what From has. MS knocked it out of the park last year, but I don't think any conference held its quality two years in a row ever.

Def Stranding and Last of Us 2 trailers are supposedly dropping this week?  Both on the 29th possibly?  Is Sony planning a stealth State of Play this week or something and trying to get their 2 cents in pre E3?

Better than the previous one.

The 360/ps3/wii ones, were just miserable years.

E3 surprises are the best but we're seeing those less and less. Something like Resident Evil 8 to close this generation and go full circle with RE4.
Perhaps Metal Gear returns.

Cyberpunk is there which should be amazing.

I still can't believe that the top tier software house on this planet couldn't manage to develop Metroid Prime 4.  :doge

Live updates from the conference:

A new mobile game, Pokemon Masters, is being introduced, and will feature characters from past games.

Gameplay footage shows dialogue and battles with Blue, Cynthia, Misty, and others.

The game is releasing "in calendar year 2019."

More details are coming in June!

A new application, Pokemon Home, will connect Pokemon Bank, Pokemon Go, the Let's Go titles and the Generation 8 games via cloud storage!

It will also feature trading functions via smartphone

Launching in early 2020

A large sleep-related initiative has been announced, with several components...

A new game, Pokemon Sleep, is being introduced, developed by the team behind Magikarp Jump. The details of the game remain unclear, but it will evidently connect sleeping with in-game rewards.

A new device called the "Pokemon GO Plus +," is being introduced as well. It functions as a Pokemon Go Plus as well as a sleep tracker.

"Sleeping Snorlax" are being introduced to Pokemon GO. Few details were revealed beyond that about what this means, but evidently the sleeping Pokemon will begin appearing in-game almost immediately.

A Detective Pikachu game installment is coming to the Nintendo Switch! https://twitter.com/Pokemon/status/1133539944691933184

Pokemon Quest is getting an official release in China c/o NetEase. The Chinese release will add PvP and a social system! It's unclear if these changes will come to other areas yet. 1.7 million players have "preregistered" for the game's release.

The conference is being given in Japanese, English and Chinese. "Going forward, we plan to deliver more of our services to fans who are native speakers of Chinese."

"Pokemon Shirts" featuring the original 150 Pokemon, which have already been released in Japan and elsewhere, are being released more widely around the world. More details will evidently come later, but the ordering site is here: Pokemon Shirts order site

A new Pokemon Center shop is opening in Japan in late 2019, with a different, darker design than other Centers past

So, I am assuming Pokemon Sleep is a recycle of the Nintendo QoL project that went nowhere?

So, I am assuming Pokemon Sleep is a recycle of the Nintendo QoL project that went nowhere?

Possibly, as well as expanding on the potential of the Pokewalker and to a smaller extent Pokeball Plus (which was even started waaaayyy back with the Pokemon Pikachu 1 and 2 GS pedometer-based standalones.) For a long time, it seems like there's been a health-focused faction within The Pokemon Company and/or Gamefreak.

I'm excited that E3 is almost dead and that I don't have to work the show floor this year. Praise be to Yevon.

Did some legit drinking though last year, so that was cool.

Def Stranding and Last of Us 2 trailers are supposedly dropping this week?  Both on the 29th possibly?  Is Sony planning a stealth State of Play this week or something and trying to get their 2 cents in pre E3?

Kojima's wank fest trailer is tomorrow. They did some dumb teaser on Twitch today.

As someone who worked on games for wearable tech at one point... health apps are pretty much the only thing that make money in that area. Considering Nintendo branding helped the world care about an AR game, maybe Nintendo branding can help people care more about wearables.

guess it's coming this year but still no e3 conference?

Though I don't really care about E3 as an institution, as long as early June stays a date of concentrated industry announcements to look forward to. Smaller events over the course of the year are okay, but I will always like the thought of E3.

I fucking got FIFA18 to play cause my friend's into soccer, it's ridiculously janky but local multi is all that counts and it's good for that. I need a similar fix for hockey.

Can Larian even do storytelling? Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity had generic stories. Obsidian they are NOT.

Original Sin 1 was hit-and-miss in the story department, but OS2 was really good.
