Title: Who's the best badass jobber?
Post by: Wrath2X on May 27, 2019, 09:18:03 AM: Who of these perpetually angry yet always failing losers appeals to you the most? I've picked these three as they stand out to me as the best of the worst. Breakout characters who weren't allowed to main event. We've got Trekkies Vs. Weebs Vs. Comic dorks, so all three facets of entertainment are represented.

While Vegeta is essentially the trope codifier at this point, and I enjoyed Klingon centric episodes of TNG, something about Cal Dodd's French Canadian will always be near and dear to my heart.

I’m split on it. While Vegeta is a jobber he has a much better CHARACTER than Goku. So it’s a tough call.

This is honestly a good answer. Compared to Urameshi he just doesn't get that shine. And then you got Jiganshi hogging up the cool boi points, and the witch hogging the uguu hottie points. Starscream was supposed to be A tier, behind the S tiers like Prime and Megatron, but he got his shit kicked in by everyone.

Tarantulas in Beast Wars was also a frequent jobber early on, as he was supposed to be one of the more powerful Predacons, but by the end they had basically retconned him into a mad scientist who couldn't really fight.
