I fantasize about moving up to northern Europe every summer. :'(
non-coastal cities :holeup
Not in my fucking fantasies. :-*I fantasize about moving up to northern Europe every summer. :'(
warm weather >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> snow
Here in NY, most of June has been rainy in the 70s, with the occasional high 80 day. So that's good, as long as we get a few good days for swimming.
Summer inside a big city is miserable. All the stone, concrete and asphalt turns the outdoors into a pizza oven.
(https://i.imgur.com/EcRRCoq.png) :snobDamn, 75° Celsius, better bring some ice tea. :kermit
It'd been ping ponging between being in the 80s and raining in the Pioneer Valley. :-*Here in NY, most of June has been rainy in the 70s, with the occasional high 80 day. So that's good, as long as we get a few good days for swimming.
Up until a few days ago, it'd been like 50s-60s in New England, with multi-day rainstorms... Maybe 3-4 days above 80 total (as in, 2019 to-date.) I've been waiting for summer to start tbh.

Can I just ask, what the fuck is the point of using Fahrenheit?
Celcius is so much more...sensible.
You guys are totally right.
BRB changing the standard used by my entire country, just a sec.
Kelvin is Celsius -273.15A more sensible point.
They are the same thing, Kelvin just uses a different starting point (absolute 0).
Not in my fucking fantasies. :-*I fantasize about moving up to northern Europe every summer. :'(
warm weather >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> snow
I've seen snow like, twice, in my life.
I dunno man, working hours with a Cintiq and no air conditioning during July, in a 39° weather, is pretty shit. Not in my fucking fantasies. :-*I fantasize about moving up to northern Europe every summer. :'(

Snow will fuck up all traffic, make it at times impossible to even get outside and so on. The worst thing? When it starts melting, and becomes that greyish half snow half dirt mix, that you stomp around in for days, and absolutely will slide on a few times during the winter. I thought it was bad in Denmark, but living in Norway for a while was even worse in this regard, considering how many hills and shit are everywhere there, and they dont even salt their roads making them at least bearable to walk on.
Living in Cebu with the constant heat though. Oh yeah. :noah
Pro tip: Don't talk about weather on the internet unless you want to be bombarded by people whose weather is MORE EXTREME AND YOU ARE A PUSSY
The whole year sucks. I pray for nuclear war every night so I don’t have to do another day.
You guys are totally right.Celcius makes sense just like metric measurements.
BRB changing the standard used by my entire country, just a sec.
Wow bro I didn’t know that.Glad to be of service
Please think of me cause I have to walk 20km every day in the sun in long black pants and black shoes. Even at 24 degrees im melting as car parks get so hot with all the cars.
My balls so sweaty brehs.
Really need a new job.
Body powder. Apply liberally to crotch.

0=freezing point of water
100=boiling point of water.
Fahrenheit is fucking incomprehensible and makes no logical sense to normal humans.
21°C/70F this morning. Nice.
90% humidity. Not nice at all. Stop right now.

I'm not boiling water, though. 0F-100F are the yearly temperature ranges for most places where humans live, with 0F being very cold and 100F being very hot. Seems pretty easy to understand to me. :trumps

Well of course you aren't.
But not everyone is as lucky as you, having access to the perfect balanced meals coming in cans, or as dry pellets. Some of us have to cook pasta and shit.
If you go outside in 100C weather, you'll die. I'll take 100F instead.
Somehow, some way, we 'mericans remember that 32F is freezing and to expect ice and snow near or below that temp, and remember how any given temperature reading feels above that without it pertaining to the super relevant boiling point of water.
Somehow.
Although unlike most of the rest of the world we don't get to spend our days remarking on how much our temperature scale makes sense; "Bloody bloke it's 33.2% of the boiling temp of water today, a real scorcher, it was only 31.7% of the boiling temp of water just yesterday ol' chap!"

Same over here but I've been fortunate. My flat is pretty heat-resilient because of orientation (provided I open windows at night to cool it down) and I'm working in climatized offices all week.
Count me in the contingent of "cold is a lot more tolerable".
Im getting baked

The worst thing is grabbing a cold drink from the fridge only for it to be lukewarm after 3 minutes. :rageGet an ice-bucket and keep it well stocked. Then you can pop the can back into the ice between delicate sips.

I mean, if it gets any warmer you'll need an ice bucket for the ice bucket, but that's the price of a cold bevvy.
It's already 29C (84F) at 9am. Halp :stahp
Left my phone in the car, it doesn‘t turn on anymore. Probably easily over 60 degrees celsius in there. :maf
