Title: anything cool to see/walk/do near LAX?

I have about 4-5 hours to kill until some friends arrive because I booked a much earlier flight than they did, and though I could probably spend 5 hours playing fire emblem I'd rather not. Near = walking distance or ~5 min drive btw, we're renting a car and heading downtown once they arrive.

There's an In & Out near LAX. I fucking hate driving to that piss stain of an airport. Who the fuck builds only one lane ramps to get into an airport that services millions of people traveling in and out of a major city?

El Segundo is to the south of LAX and it barely counts as a city. It is essentially just offices of things like Raytheon, Square Enix USA and Boeing and whatever.

Westchester is to the north, and it's just LMU and OTIS and nothing else worth talking about. If you keep going North on Lincoln blvd you can see the corpse of EALA just before you hit Marina Del Rey.

There is an In n Out though.

I deliberately pay more to fly into SFO instead of subjecting myself to whatever level of hell LAX is.

The Long Beach airport is hundreds of miles closer and also much more chill. I've heard Burbank is chill too but I haven't been there since college.
