So why is this game good
Your character is a silent protagonist- but your brother talks. Wondering if you choose a male character...do you still have a brother, or does he get changed to the sister, who then has his speaking role? :thinking

Yes. They swap places.
So this is more an ARPG with a detailed story than a stage based hack and slash? That's interesting...
I love the aesthetic, it reminds me of a mid 90's game with that cyberpunk Tokyo style, I get Burning Rangers vibes for some reason...
Sounds like CA type progression. Interesting for what was advertised as a pseudo Nier Automata-esque JRPG.
FYI: You can make the cop lady wear pants.
There’s stuff to like, but I think this game blows on Switch.
In the training room you have to fight enemies, and even with one enemy it’s dropping to about 10 FPS on my system w/ combo dropping.
Shit feels bad at times, but it’s still very interesting
Maybe you're mistaking fucked up frame time for low framerate. It never hit low 10 or even low 20s on my end.
Whether or not DF experienced it or not doesn’t necessarily mean it can’t be experienced ???
I can say with absolute certainty that it did hit the very low 10s on the first expert training mission when I encountered the last boss in portable mode.
I entered Iris mode as I recently gained the ability to scan in enemies (and wanted to see a health bar.) Swooping the camera around absolutely tanked the frame rate. It was at this point that the game didn’t even register my button press to hit, and upon trying to slash an enemy out of attack as recently learned, the mode did not pop up as I exited out of Iris.
Additionally, arenas with multiple higher tiered enemies absolutely are dropping frames and it’s far from what I’d call a stable 30.

Other action games like Devil May Cry almost suffer from this fate, except they save themselves with the addition of a style gauge which judges and rewards you based on each combat encounter.
:leonThat font also reminds me of Nier: Automata....
And he's British. :yuck
Yeah, the story is charming even if is cliche as hell and there is just like three genuinely cool characters (and those don’t include Akira and Lappy/Marie). Maybe is because the story takes itself so seriously while not being actually that ridiculous compared with other Platinum Games. Is weird.
People are going to push Marie/Lappy hard, but Max and Kyle are the best characters, cliche as they are.
Just got to Kyle and yeah, best character in the game. Love his design.
I was expecting it to be more like Bayonetta, action levels broken up by cutscenes, so it was a nice surprise to see that there was a lot more to it.
bork no
I've heard the post-game takes about as long as the entire game proper. What on earth? That's amazing. I just beat chapter 11 and was about to start trying to S+ all the chapters because I thought I was done but maybeI should just be jumping into all the other, new to me post game stuff instead.
Are there any places discounting this for BF
I've heard the post-game takes about as long as the entire game proper.I'd believe it, I'm just over halfway through.
