Rasetsu -Alternative- is a PS2 port by Nippon Ichi containing both the original Kogado Studio PC release of Rasetsu and its expansion, Xan, though with changes here and there. The port supposedly isn't that great but the music is nice (same as the PC original) and TAKAMICHI's (Ehrgeiz, Hoshigami) character redesigns are decent, at least when compared to the originals, which are mostly terrible except for Kutsuzawa's cover art.
I'm not very social but I might as well join (yes, I'm very late).

This track sounds more like Naruke's PS2 output, which is amusing considering this game came out in 1993. Some of the other tracks have that original PS Wild Arms quality to them too (sound-wise) like the overworld theme for instance. Pretty solid soundtrack overall.

I could have chosen pretty much anything, there are so many great RPG battle tracks. But I have to give credit to Mitsuda here, because not once did I ever get tired of hearing this battle theme over and over. Impressive for an RPG that only has two battle tracks (this one and the final boss theme). It also helps that XSE1 is one of my favourite PS2 games (I do not care very much for EPII&III).
Some tracks from Assassin's Creed Valhalla out in the wild.

If you're gonna post music from Tenshi no Uta, you can be as late as you want to be! Don't think I've ever met another person who knew about that franchise...
I would like to play the first two but I don't see myself getting a PC-Engine anytime soon... if ever (still taking a long break from collecting). This is more games I have no interest in playing, which in this case: visual novels. I have no patience for them. Oh and most ADV games, too. Not going to stop me from checking out the music in these games though. And who cares if the music is from an adult VN or not. All that matters is the music.
Anyway, the game's soundtrack is pretty varied but I chose this track because it got me to check out the OST in the first place.

I played this game way back in 2008 and I've been a fan of this artist ever since. Over a decade later, I nearly have all of his works. Same can be said about The Sleepwalk/Watchman; I ended up buying all of his CDs because of this game.

As much as I like Okabe's music, especially his early namco works, I just couldn't get into the music in NieR (both original and Automata). I don't think they're bad, overrated or anything... just not for me. Though I must admit I was pretty annoyed they got Okabe/Monaca to do Drakengard's 3 music instead of Sano and Aihara...

What I said in day 13 applies to this, too. The game is a VN, meaning I will never play it. With that said, the game's soundtrack gets high praise from many because it doesn't sound like your typical VN soundtrack. It's really quite downbeat. Mix of moody downtempo, ambient, and trip hop.

Game: Phantasy Star Online (DC) | Track: Image of hero | Composed by Fumie Kumatani (I miss her...)
I was lucky enough to have access to all three consoles when I was younger (it helped I had older brothers) so I don't prefer one over the other or anything* (though Sega is cooler let's be honest). But for whatever reason, I never feel nostalgic when listening to 90s era Nintendo OSTs. I don't know why. Sega games on the other hand, especially Saturn/Dreamcast era... they hit me hard, man. Phantasy Star Online, episode II especially, just... the music and the in-game atmosphere work so well. Like really fucking well. No other online game I've played has managed to capture the feel PSO has. Not even the good-but-not-so-good weeb as fuck PSO2, and definitely not FFXIV. Nothing comes close to PSO.

Well I have never played Skies of Arcadia. This track though makes me almost feel like I've been on the entire journey with my swashbuckling crew. Like something out of a kids adventure movie from the 1980s or perhaps and animated film from that decade too. It's always a good thing when a music track alone punctures your heart with all sorts of emotions even when you haven't experienced what it's set to.
(port it to modern consoles/PC you cowards)
I love Skies of Arcadia but I found Legends to be borderline unplayable because of how the music sounded in-game. Even the new content wasn't enticing enough to keep me playing. So a port of Legends with the original Dreamcast music intact would be perfect.
This post taken from the wiki explains it well:
spoiler (click to show/hide)
Musically, a major cause of the sparse sound isn't the disc space (as tight a fit as it was), but not porting the music properly to the GameCube hardware. It originally used the Cybersound wavetable synth/sound engine for music playback, but when they were porting it as Legends they ended up using the MuseX audio engine. Many of the effects applied by Cybersound at playtime in the Dreamcast version are missing or badly simulated on Legends, resulting in instruments that tail-off to silence unnaturally and other weird oddities like slightly off pitch instruments at times. Many tracks have incorrect volumes*, resulting in quiet drums and buried secondary instruments among other issues.
*plus fluctuating volume
