Cmon you fuckers eat it.
Mine is Shin Ramyun
-
Same for me, good amount of spice without burning your face off. Put a little sharp cheddar and a boiled egg in there and baby we're off to the races.
-
Agreed, for instant Shin Ramyun can’t be beat.
-
Runner up for me are ones that come with lil packets of sesame oil
-
Shin ramyun circle jerk thread confirmed
-
there used to be these instant udon bowls that i liked a bunch when I was in college, never knew the brand of them but they were solid too...more expensive than an instant ramen however
edit: these things, also made by the people who make shin ramen :lol

Korea world instant ramen champs :O
-
Ramen is one thing I will only eat out. A nice, fatty tonkotsu on a chilly day, is there anything better? Thankfully there is a few good ramen options near me. :doge
-
Instant ramen is a beautiful msg snack, let it be it’s own thing
-
instant ramen is it's own variant, much like taco bell is a unique and wonderful style of mexican
-
nacho is my soul bro
-
one day youll make it to NM or i'll make it to the northwest and we'll smoke the fattest blunt and drink some good bourbon :pimp
-
I have Nissin Cup Noodles in my office in case of a food emergency :doge
-
On occasion I’ve spiced up some shin ramyun with some cheddar jalapeño Cheetos. I know it’s trashy but it was delicious enough to make me not care. When you’re at work and limited in options, you gotta make do.
-
I’ve been known to slap a fat dollop of chunky peanut butter in there, so I can’t judge

Yoooooo same brand again, Japan where you at?
-
I like sapporo ichiban regular or yakisoba. :awesome
-
Nongshim stealth favorite bore brand? 2nd place at the very least :doge
-
the only instant ramen i have eaten for an age was a shin ramyun bowl the other day i'd had in the cupboard for months i bought randomly. hadn't touched the stuff in years. was tired and just gotten off a plane feeling gross. the nourishing spicy soup totally perked me up, and gave me energy to feel like making an actually fulfilling meal.
-
I love all takes on spicy chicken ramen. If there is only regular chicken, a good squeeze of sriracha in the bowl will do the trick.
Not a fan of seafood or beef instant ramen.

Those are the ones I like too. I have some of the cheapy cup noodles at my desk at work for when I don't bring anything in for lunch and don't want to pay inflated prices from the places near my office.

Ate some Blazing Hot Hot & Spicy Bowl Noodle for lunch today and it was soooo good. :aah

i bought a six pack of these from costco and while pretty damn good, the high sodium wrecks my body

see, that's the really weird thing
i love the beef packet ramen, but the cup noodles one tastes like it has more beef than the actual beef ramen (they sure don't taste like shrimp!)
-
I mean yeah shin ramen are the best here
But when I was in China there were some other contenders
Rule of thumb was the more ingredient bags the better

A story about Ramen:
When I moved to the UK like a decade ago I first moved into a hostel while looking for a room. My roommate was a Korean dude that showed me how they used to make Ramen in the army. Basically you tear open the pack from above, pour n hot water while holding it, close the plastic and hold it in your hands. This way they would warm themselves while on watch.

Shin Ramyun Black is the mvp of the asian aisle in the grocery store here, but the only options are that and poverty tier Maruchan that's 1/4 of the price.
Shin Ramyun + dropping an egg in there. Two dollar meal for a king. :whew
-
Last time I picked some up they were trying to charge for the black more than double the regular shin ramyun “spicy”. I’m not made of money people, for that price I’ll just go to Taco Bell!

Well I mean, I'm not eating the Maruchan ramen for the like 4-5 pieces of "shrimp"/meat and corn/carrots in them, dude. So for me, it's flavoring. And the flavoring packs are SUPER SALTY so it's something I try to avoid a lot of. :doge
Those of you eating them with eggs, do you fry the egg or just crack one in or what? I've seen folks saying that for instant ramen and I don't get how it'd "cook" in time like the hard-boiled slices in actual non-instant ramen.
-
You’re not going to hard boiled if you drop it in, you’re going for an egg flower soup type of deal.
-
ive tossed a fried egg and and a raw egg in and both are good moves. soft boiled is the best of both worlds there
-
Once in awhile I’ll throw a bunch of eggs in the crockpot to hard boil em, prepare some fresh veggies, slice up some meat and make a more proper ramen dinner for the fam🤷♀️
-
Spence knows how to make ramen? :phil

for shin black hacks, i like the korean gi variant which adds american processed goodies such as panfried spam/hotdogs and dissolved american cheese along with the usual hacks. it's basically a ramen variant of a korean dish called army stew which i'm too lazy to google the proper name for
also i just add the eggs in the last minute and beat the whites with chopsticks creating white egg drops while praying i don't break the yolk. if i succeed in protecting the yolk, it's soft-boiled goodness. otherwise, it's overcooked
