Ok, actually looking at the site it's basically removing the board-game elements beyond getting resources, trade, and then building things in certain areas. So in other words, it's just using the Catan name for the skeleton of Pokemon GO. :doge

I'd rather Asmodee give a decent Catan port for once.

Minecraft Earth just released last week.  I'd think it's next to take over.

Minecraft Earth apparently requires newer phones because Google's shitty AR toolset they used on Android requires newer (2019 or so) phones. So, I doubt it'll beat Pokemon Go. At least on Android. Maybe Apple sheep (#NoTNoShade to Mac) upgrade their phones yearly to where this requirement isn't a showstopper.

(Or maybe Minecraft Earth [and this by proxy] drop that stupid shit and just have a basic mode a la PoGo)
