Ikea is doing "Dark Deals" and is getting rid of the Black Friday moniker. At least here in The Netherlands.

Sure lets import a holiday which has 0 to do with Netherlands because hey we can sell even more shit to the sheeple consumers

Quick lets change it to DARK DEALS

Dark deals sounds even worse, at least from an American perspective. In the olden days "Darkies" was a pretty commonly used term for Black people.  It also sounds like something you might find surfing the Dark Web. Three pedo pictures for the price of one.

I dunno. Darkie Friday sounds way worse.
My coffee shop calls it "Orange Friday" and I sorta get it. With a bunch of people intentionally staying away because the black friday mess rebranding was necessary. Although, I didn't see it coming from this corner. I should be reading more REEE apparently.
