We do have the Army Navy game today.

The commitment to serve that comes with attendance at West Point, the Naval Academy, and the Air Force Academy has been the subject of shifting and changing standards in recent years, as it relates to whether service can be deferred until after a professional sports career.
On Saturday, the current Commander-in-Chief touted while attending the annual Army-Navy game a shift in policy that permits athletes at the service academies to delay their service.
President Trump told the players that they now have the chance “to make a fortune, and after you’re all finished with your professional career, you’ll go and you’ll serve and everybody’s thrilled.”
The President apparently thinks this will help recruiting; he joked to Army coach Jeff Monken, “It probably gives the coach no reason to ever lose another game.”
It made for a more positive visit to the annual Army-Navy game by the President than his first visit, three years ago. After he had been elected but before he had been inaugurated, then-President-elect Trump told CBS broadcasters Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson, “I don’t know if it’s necessarily the best football.”

I don't believe that is the case.

Congrats to Joe Burrow on the Heisman win. OU fans wish you the same success in the first round of the playoffs as the last two Heisman winners.
-
Happy for Joe on the Heisman but yeah, regular season awards don't really mean much if they can't finish. We had it on in the background, but I didn't really actively watch until they called him up. The structure/way it was set up like some shit reality show competition came off as a touch...cruel? At least a bit mean-spirited and uncomfortable. People were telling me that it's fine, the ceremony just caps off a fun weekend or whatever, but that was likely the first and last one I watch. Also lol@ our governor being there. :lol
I have no idea how the game is going to go, and the snub last night only adds to how Jalen/OU is going to be motivated af. It will all come down to whether or not LSU's D shows up to determine if it's a shootout or a blowout, not really seeing other option.
Also thank you for rules list.

In event of LSU loss there's gotta be some OU MAGA weeb BS around somewhere...if not there will be. :teehee
-
Rules were in jest, since I have absolutely no power but one can dream.
I was researching the cheerleaders and it came to my attention that Oregon has some serious talent on the sidelines.

Oh Baylor. Crank Yankers commitment edition.

Can we all agree that the biggest losers of the season are Gerogia's coaching staff, for letting Justin Fields go in favor of Fromm? :lol
Yes, I get that Georgia's offense is a bit antiquated and he wouldn't be balling out like he is at OSU but jesus. They have the talent and speed...Fields would have still be great there.
-
To an extent yes but ask any Georgia fan and you can say that about their team every year since 1981. Little Sister Georgia Tech has a Co-National Championship in 1990 to boot. Justin Fields is a great QB but he also joined an Ohio State team that has so much talent on both sides of the ball it is scary.
To me the biggest losers for the season are Nebraska.

OSU had some shit calls against them, but their QB looked like a chump most of the night. Very inaccurate.
Clemsons D is for real. They’ll put up a better fight against LSU.
-
I expected OSU to pop Clemson and it looked like they were going to for awhile. Mix of bad ref calls and Fields shitting the bed.
LSU is probably going to destroy Clemson. If Dobbins could dice them with one leg I'm sure LSU's athletes will have a lot of fun.
-
I feel like clemson might get annihilated, but they could also surprise. It's a team that knows how to fight back
-
Does anyone care about these shitty Bowl games btw? Not the BCS playoffs obviously, but the single bowls.
-
nope :lol

Every 5-7 years there's a new QB that I think is the best college QB I've ever seen. I can't tell if I'm a prisoner of recency bias or are they are actually improving each time.

Same here. OU can't lose in a playoff if there is no season. Made a 32 team league of the best college teams all time for Super Mega Baseball 3. The best QB's for each team as starting pitchers and then just threw in all the best players everywhere else. 8 divisions of 4 rival teams. Winner of each division goes to the playoffs.
West Conference
OU
Texas
Texas A&M
Nebraska
Michigan
Michigan St
Ohio St
Notre Dame
UCLA
USC
Washington
Oregon
(the not rival division)
BYU
Colorado
Arizona St
Stanford
East Conference
Alabama
LSU
Auburn
Tennessee
Georgia
Florida
Florida St
Miami
Pitt
West Virginia
Virginia Tech
Penn St
(the other not rival division)
Clemson
Georgia Tech
Arkansas
Syracuse
Created a another league for my NFL Fix. Based it on the 1979 season and went all out on the proper logos, players etc. Team power is based on how they ended up in the final rankings that year. It was my favorite season as a Steeler fan even though I was on 7. Best uniforms, logos, etc. Only teams with a complete 1979 roster are Pittsburgh and Dallas because I lived in Texas and was forced to watch the Cowboys. Sprinkled the rest of the teams with best players in that teams history.
Also play this as I prepare for a game. The best sports intro in the history of sports.
