Argue about date naming conventions in a weed thread, brehs.
To end this stupid debate once and for all, all countries (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Countries_in_the_International_Organization_for_Standardization) got together in 1988 and standardized on YYYY-MM-DD for calendar dates as ISO-8601 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601).
You know what's peculiar about this format? It preserves America's "month then day" (MMDD) formatting, just adding the year to the beginning.
This format is used in the following countries:
- China
- Germany
- Mongolia
- South Korea
- Poland
- Portugal
- Romania
- South Africa
- Sri Lanka
- Sweden
- Switzerland
- The United States of America
- Lithuania
- Some others
Case closed DDMM is always wrong next please
