Title: Where do you get your sports news, boys?
Post by: Rman on March 05, 2020, 08:00:34 PM
I like The Athletic a lot. One of my favorite subscriptions.

I also enjoy these recent athletes led podcasts--Up In Smoke and The Knuckleheads.

And I still like some of the content on the Mothership, although they are very different these days. It's the Stephen A. Smith channel.

athletic is shite for footy. generally about as much information as a tweet but spread over a 2000 word /r/soccer self post.

get most of my stuff from WHU boards.

Seriously though, sports news is the only thing twitter is actually useful for.

I used to be more invested but lately just ESPN/+, mainly dotcom. It's just very easy for the most part, if a bit like a tabloid at times.

I kind of get the appeal of the talking head shows to an extent, but I don't watch too much of that as it will kill brain cells.  :comeon

About the only thing I watch regularly is Highly Questionable, which I fucking DVR. Dan Le Batard :like

I don't really podcast but probably would more if I dropped cable.

Twitter and The Athletic. And really only a handful of guys I would pay to read at the latter. Most of it is pretty dry.

Really miss Deadspin though because of the weird news they would post about sports I dont follow closely.

Slaent

only losers post there

Fuck the athletic and their bullshit I went here to meet ex player who did this format all their footy writers seem to do.

Anything useful from there (transfer gossip) gets reposted everywhere anyway  :idont
