Sucks, but I'll find a new gig in time. I was not the only one obviously. I feel worse for the others. Good folks.

Sucks but you don't sound too worried so I must assume you have enough savings to not be in panic mode. Good if that's so.

Savings and they recently extended the unemployment benefits from the COVID19 stimulus package. I've also been laid off before and got back on the bicycle. Such is life...
Still sucks, but I'm alive at least lol.

I was working from home as well. Got fired via Zoom. interesting times lol.

Sorry Rman. I got furloughed last week. At least as of right now I still have a job once this is all done, even if I'm not getting paid. Best of luck, brochacho.

Just started my internship this week, kind of good timing because I'm still a student so the place doesn't have to pay me. I'm interning until the end of November. I would not have wanted to graduate this spring. Oof. Hope you bounce back, Rman

Think it's up to 2K and its extended employment insurance, so not everyone (but you and Mups would be covered). Pretty happy with how our federal government is responding to this.

Sorry to hear that, being laid off sucks. Hopefully you'll be able to bounce back pretty quickly. IIRC you're in tech, which at least makes finding positions with remote working options a lot more feasible.
Luckily, I am OK for now. Management made the decision to not give anyone raises this year though (which sucks because 2 weeks prior I just had a really great performance review), but if that's the worst that comes out of this I'll consider myself lucky. Know a buncha people who unfortunately got laid off or furloughed already due to corona.

Been laid off before. So I have some resiliency there.
That first time I was laid off was a sucker punch. But once you've been around the block and learned that everyone is expendable these things don't' sting as much.
It's also a global pandemic lol. Not typical circumstances.
I only hope I can find something quick but hard to tell with the situation. Too much uncertainty right now.

Yeah, I'm in NYC! The heart of the outbreak. I've worked for tech companies as a salesperson and customer success manager. The last gig was sales. I was doing well, but it was one of those last hired first fired things.
