He's running. And he'll win, more likely than not. This gives me hope; if a smarmy New York Jew can run and win in Minnesota, surely a socialist slacker can run and win in Georgia, no?

Bill O'Reilly secretly jerks it to Al Franken.

I bet you do too. Can we get CG in here for some confirmation?
-
Sorry, Ann Coulter for me!
-
Do people REALLY find him funny? Or is he like equivalent to a female stand up comedienne? Where you have to put a qualifier in parentheses afterwords. (ie: Funny ... (for a woman).)
A. Whitney Brown is a shining example of a funny liberal. Al Franken is just kind of angry and bitter.
-
He'll win if he gets the nomination. The state's GOP senator is very unpopular and the state is trending more and more democrat.
He has competition in the democratic primaries though, no one else has annouced but there are some who plan to..
And ToxicAdam, I am not a huge fan of his radio show but he was the fucking head writer on SNL during it's glory days. He earned his funny cred years ago and deserves it for what he did.
-
His radio show = Boring crap. No wonder they have horrible ratings. Who could listen to that show.
Books and other forms of entertainment he's done = Funny and good stuff.
Still, he's not nearly as funny as Michael Savage.

Michael Savage didn't help birth the career of Bill Murrary and John Belushi

No, instead he birthed Islamo-Fascist. Top that.

Funny writer I assume, but I never found the skits he was in (on SNL) funny at all.

He wrote skits he wasn't in you know. He barely appeared at all in 75-80 yet he was a head writer.

Jesus, are you full of crap. You think he's responsible for everything positive about SNL in his time?
What a load of shit.
-
Where was that talent when Eddie Murphy left in the mid-80's?
He quit in 1980 before Eddie Murphy came on. NBC tried to get Al Franken to replace Lorne Michaels as executive producer but he turned it down.
-
Al Franklin... :-\

Hence "Funny writer I assume, but..."
