Idk. I loved it the first time but liked it less the second time. I love the spectacle but I'm not invested in the story. I'm kind of meh on Mad Max in general. It's a good movie though.

Man I feel so bad that I missed out on seeing it in the theater. Prob the best action/sci fi film I've seen since The Matrix or Terminator.

One of those rare movies I can sit down and watch anytime, anywhere; and I barely re-watch anything.

Saw it 2-3 times in theaters, then another time when they brought it back in black & white. :heartbeat

I'm amazed there hasn't been a sequel yet, and that the director has apparently had some issues with the Warner. Give the man a budget and get out the way.

NYT just did an oral history of it a couple of weeks ago. Sounds like it really was hell to make.

A prequel on Furiosa was announced a week or 2 ago.

They're going ahead with a Furiosa prequel, re-casting with a younger actress. Hard to top Charlize tho, she absolutely killed it.

Kinda wish they just do a totally new movie in the universe instead of a prequel or whatever, but I'll take what I can get.

First time I saw the movie I thought that was "okay".  :doge

Second Time I saw it, I thought that was the best action movie I've seen in a decade.  :whew

Not sure why it didn't hit me that way the first time. I think I was expecting a "story" movie.

Good article. I'm glad Hardy and Theron both mended fences on the film.

WTF, it's the best film of 2015. I saw that film three times in theaters, something I never do and it's because of Shaka (and Kojima) goading.

A few years back when the Bob Bullock Museum finished upgrading the projection and audio systems for their IMAX theater, they hosted a special screening of Fury Road for their members.  Shit was BANANAS, absolutely incredible to behold.

Quote
MILLER A younger filmmaker who has done very well called me before his first feature and said, “Any tips?” I told him, “The day will come on the shoot when you think you’re completely crazy and what you’re doing makes no sense. Just keep going.” When he finished that film, he told me, “Remember what you said? What you didn’t tell me is that it’s going to happen every day.” And it’s true.
