Title: Why the fuck does NexusMods require an account to download mods?

And why the fuck does Gmail and Hotmail require a phone number now instead of letting you create a bunch of throwaway e-mails to get around this? :lol :lol :lol :doge

Google now asks older accounts for numbers but not Hotmail. Yandex though is a sneaky shit where they allow phoneless registrations but after a couple weeks claim it was 'hacked' and suddenly need your phone :doge Read that mail.com don't require phone verification but never tried it.

Hotmail does. So does Yahoo. I'm like :wtf toward them requiring a phone number now. Did Trump change a law for the children or something?

I do, since I needed a few mods to fix New Vegas, otherwise I wouldn't touch that shitty site.

Just get nexus mod.manager, log into ur account and start downloading those mods. The mod manager will let u activate and deactivate its all pretty handy

I modded the shit out of slyrim that way and it works pretty well

You misunderstand: I normally don't mod. But I wanted the 4GB RAM fix for New Vegas (as apparently it increases performance/draw distances) and that's... NexusMods only. :doge

This was a very recent change, requiring an account to download things. Like, last two months or so. I guess they didn't attract enough users over the years to pay their one-time donation offer of $2 to turn off ads, so now they're trying some RapidShare-esque Premium download tier (even if the files are in the single kilobytes :lol).
