I never lost the habit since childhood. A nice cold glass of 2 percent milk hits the spot. I'm not anti plant/nut (hehe) milks, they but they're not as delicious.

I switched to Almond milk/Coconut milk because of the mass amounts of sugar in regular milk. I occasionally have heavy cream or buttermilk for the occasional recipe though.
A little bulletproof coffee in the morning with a dash of almond/coconut creamer hits the spot!
-
Not as much as I used to, mostly almond milk these days.
-
No, I've always found it to be disgusting and even thought water tasted better than milk. Milk was only good in certain products that added flavor, like cereal. I thought people that actually a enjoy a glass of milk like those advertisements in the 80's and 90's and Rman's OP to be utterly vile and disgusting weirdos. The equivalent of enjoying eating anchovies on a pizza except in a glass.
The only way you could make me drink cow milk was as ice cream, in cereal, or made into chocolate or strawberry milk via Nesquick.
-
...is there any other kind? :jawalrus
-
I distinctly remember the last time I tried to get into milk as a teenager. All those ads say it's healthy and maybe it'll make me taller so I bought a whole milk gallon and tried to drink it straight from the glass. I really, really don't understand the appeal. It really disgusts me.
I love cheese and ice cream though.
-
I use it in cooking and stuff, only rarely do I have a whole glass
-
Love me some milk. Have it with cereal most days. Part of a complete breakfast.
-
no but i cook with it (and it's thicker/churned cousins) regularly. margarine :yuck
-
Only time I really drank Milk was in coffee & cereal and switched over to soy for coffee and almond for cereal and now normal milk tastes pretty weird to me. Pretty much only drink normal milk in milkshakes.
-
Not really, but there is no acceptable substitute for butter though
-
drinking from an udder is vile

Anything less than whole :jeanluc
Having grown up farm-adjacent I can also vouch for raw milk but in smaller quantities.
-
actually my primary use for milk is yogurt making; imagine drinking a gallon of milk when you can turn it into fermented deliciousness (that is also useful for cooking) :drool
-
Good for teeth, I heard.
-
The equivalent of enjoying eating anchovies on a pizza
:heh
sad you can't enjoy this match made in heaven. sometimes i just raw dog an anchovy out the jar with an olive or something for a flava kick :rejoice
tbh, ive never dug a nut juice, but im kinda into oat and soy milk as alternatives for certain things. cow milk is da best tho
-
Hell no. Imagine not chugging nut juice in 2020 :heh

My man. I never get anything other than whole milk.
Didn’t grow up farm adjacent just had parents who didn’t buy into the “low fat” thing. Ahead of their times!
It just tastes disgusting to me (1%/2%/skim/etc.) Same with fake milk.
-
I like 2% with Cheerios
but "skim" is just lightly flavored water :karen

Don't often drink it alone, but I constantly use it in things like coffee and cocoa. Nothing but whole milk in this house.
-
regularly
milk is in my genes, literally

This. I never liked milk, even as a child. I had to drink it then so much that I never need to drink it again. I gag at the thought now, I can't even have it in my coffee. Only with cereal or lingonberry porridge, never with anything else.
Buttermilk goes well with most meals though.
-
i use it for cooking, but never really just drank milk.
-
Yeah, still on cow milk here, but pretty much only for breakfast oatmeal and nothing else. Have tried Oatly for this but it doesn't work for me.
-
Cold milk so refreshing :rejoice
Warm milk so relaxing :heart

anyone else accidentally read the title as "do you drink drinky crow's milk"? :doge

Please tell me the appeal. It tastes and smells disgusting to me.

For cold milk, lately it's been hitting best after coming in around ~7pm from a hot day. For me it's this weird sensation of it filling my belly better than a soft drink/tea/water (it *is* high in calories), but it goes down easy and smooth and quenches your thirst because of the water content (which I don't taste, unless it's not whole milk. 1/2% are disgusting.)
I don't have warm milk a lot, especially on its own, but yeah it's basically narcolepsy juice for me when I do. :zzz Have it late at night and I'm out cold usually, especially after hitting a bowl. It's probably considered wypipo food but I luuuuurve milk and noodles/pasta, it's so basic but so good.

Grandma heating up milk in a smaller pot above the fire. Me crawling out of bed to freshly prepared bread with some butter and jelly, or perhaps butter and some cheese and meat slices. I plop myself down on the couch and turn on the TV to catch some cartoons. Grandma meanwhile pours the milk into a glass and puts in Granko (some chocolate powder thingy in the homeland) and stirs it up and brings it to me. :heart
It was nice being little at some point.

I like warm milk with nutmeg
But cold milk I just don't get
