Sanic as well. Then before that, Ad Astra (which had some great visuals but I didn't really care for)
-
Birds of Prey all the way back in early February.
-
1917.
We were supposed to go see Knives Out a few weeks later, but could never find the time.
-
Damn, can't remember. :lol
:titus
I think One Piece Stampede or My Hero Academia Heroes Rising were the last ones, so whenever they had those in 'Murica. February?

Sadly, mine was also Rise of Skywalker.

The Way Back. Sadly this might be the worst movie I've seen in theaters in 2020. Bummer dude.

Excellent fucking movie, I watched it while hungover on a plane ride back from Vegas and it made it resonate even more.
I think last movie in the theater was Rise of Skywalker as well.

Once upon a Time ... in Hollywood
Shit got way too expensive over here even before corona.

Dunno. Some romcom. It was a group date fifteen odd years ago.

The last Jedi :girlaff

Birds of Prey and Sanic back to back.
Pleasantly surprised by both :idont

It's sort of like if Tarantino was Indian? Super ridiculous and awesome. Critical response was a mix of 'this is great' and 'wtf'. The lead dude usually does comedies so this was a bit of branching out for him but unfortunately this shit was too much even for India and thus plans for a sequel were scrapped along with the lead opting to just stick with comedic roles going forward.

Being a NZ'er we had a good run with the 'Rona, so theaters are open for the most part, theres just nothing much on! A lot more local movies are getting attention which is cool (despite the fact that I generally hate NZ movies lol).
Anyhow saw this a couple weeks ago

This is a straight to Netflix quality picture so was amusing to watch on the big-screen. Russell Crowe was hysterical but he was drug down by a focus on the other losers in the cast. Had some good shocks and tension. Worth a stream!

The Gentlemen from Guy Ritchie.
Great film. That was right before everything was closed down in late February / Early March or so.
All of the 20 or so people watching that night felt like this would be the last movie we'd see in a while.
In fact cinemas pretty much closed the day after. Theaters would follow the day after I visited what was the last performance before the lockdown in Amsterdam a week later.
And finally the following Saturday I went to a restaurant and those all closed the following day too. I pretty much experienced the last day of everything at that time.
Tennet is out here next week and I certainly want to see it but most cinemas are in high risk areas so I'll probably wait for a late night screening early September or the home release. :existential

Joker
Before that, Dunkirk.
