Guitar Mania Red Freedom V Wireless Guitar Controller (http://www.theguitarmania.com/servlet/Detail?no=1)

Some quick impressions of this wireless controller for the best PS2 game in the world Guitar Hero.

- make sure the 1st thing you do is turn on the fucking thing, save yourself an embarrassing call to tech support   :-[

- The Red V is almost completely silent, no creaking or annoying clicking while playing

- light and very sturdy

- takes a little getting used to, the Flying V shape may lead to new hand placement and it will throw off your timing.

- wireless kicks all kinds of ass, you can't beat the freedom of not being tied down to the console.

- start button is recessed so you don't accidentally hit it.

You can get it for $54.99 off of http://www.theguitarmania.com (http://www.theguitarmania.com) (beats the $69.99 EB and Gamestop are charging) and it is available in Red or Blue.

I think it is well worth the extra few $ over the standard controller.  So if you are in the market for another controller or are just sick of the clicking noise from the pack in give this one a try.

I've played it whenever I was at Game King on Saturday... some good stuff.

It is definitely better than the other controller that came with the game.

I'm not a huge fan of Metroid Prime, one or two, but the Wii changes everything.  Believe.

Why don't you just admit you hate gaming?

Knowing nothing about this, I ask the following...

a) Are these guys distinguished mentally-challenged?  No, for real, are they mentally distinguished mentally-challenged?
b) There seems to be a mildly cute chick involved wtf

I pretty much ignore anything game-related from GAF so I can play games and enjoy them.

That's a shame.  You coulda sued Andrew for stealing your schtick, but it's probably too late now.

Was there any lag that you noticed?  That's the only thing I'd worry about, since you need to be really precise with Guitar Hero, especially in the harder difficulties.

The only other thing that's holding me back, is that there's a 360 version of Guitar Hero on the horizon.  They haven't officially announced it, but they haven't denied it and have made hints that it's on the way.  Guitar Hero on Xbox Live should rock.  Even if you can't compete online, it'll be great for comparing scores and new downloadable songs.

Still, maybe I'll break down  and sell my second guitar and pick up the wireless.  Hmm.

I don't notice any lag but I am not an amazing player so maybe if it I there I just don't notice.  Give it a few weeks and Best Buy should have them in stock and hopefully have them set up to try.

I would do this...but then I would just have the shitty recommendations of MAF to go by. Soul Calibur 3...  ::)

Like I pay attention to MAF or Drinky's game tastes.  :lol

Key to enjoying games is not giving a fuck about them.  I think I enjoy E3 more than anyone that goes to work there.
