I wish they had retconned this to be a imposter or something.

I like his Village design a lot more, it at least kinda looks like an older version Chris from RE 6.

Yeah it's just so awkward and weird when he turns up lol. The Chris DLC was pretty good tho

I haven't played the spin off games but yeah by RE6 there was so much nonsense going on lol. RE5 is probably when it jumped the shark with "partners" "complete global saturation" and boulder punching. But the series has been semi silly since day1 really

I read a comment that theorized that he never said his first name he was some other member of the Redfield family or something

I liked the one where it was HUNK sans mask impersonating Chris to snatch Ethan due to hunks tendency the be the last person on the scene extracting important bioweapon material.

RE5 Chris looks like Son Goku and RE7 removed all the animu for hyperrealistic graphics, so they probably didn't know how to design him to fit with the new style yet and went for the RE1 look.
