I always wanted one of those rowing machines cause I like the VROOOOM sound they make. Shame you have to use it to make the sound though.

Upper-class basic.

be a real man and put on some spandex, join the bore biker twinks :)

Treadmill or bike?
I got an Ergatta early this year because I prefer rowers and I don't like instructed workout classes. It kicks my ass every time I use it.

ergatta looks so elegant and it's a rowing machine :doge

I have one, haven’t used it a while since it was in storage while I was moving.
I’d recommend doing the power zone classes since they’re very structured so you can track how your improving over time and there’s wide variety of classes based on difficulty and time available (20 min up to 2 hours).
I’ve done in person spin classes before, but I much prefer using the peloton. Probably cause I’m antisocial and whatnot.

Bike. Apparently the treadmill was killing kids. Or almost killed a kid.

Probably the thing I miss the most from my pre-COVID gym routine.
Broad question, but how long is a rowing session supposed to be?
Before I would do 3 10-minute sessions/day at (my) full power but as someone who can do an uninterrupted daily sustained 2 hours/~20 miles on the standup cardio machine(it's like an elliptical with more resistance, I guess) I couldn't imagine doing much more than that on the rower before getting gassed/bored, which sucks because it was definitely the exercise that made me feel the most challenged and accomplished.

The sweet spot for me has been 20-30 mins interval training, not a non-stop consistent row at the same rate throughout. I do the shorter races all the time though (1-10 mins) because Ergatta has leaderboards. I want to be in at least the top 100 of any race that I do because I'm stubborn and competitive, so I'm usually really gassed after.

Peloton slashed the price of its Bike to $1,495 from $1,895.
The model used to cost $2,245, before Peloton rolled out a more premium product, the Bike+.
Peloton stock fell Thursday afternoon on lackluster fourth-quarter earnings.
