Official Press Release
Alan Moore's LOST GIRLS Signed and Numbered Edition
Hey Comics Fans,
Big news in Top Shelf land. After 16 years in development, the complete LOST GIRLS by Alan Moore and Melinda Gebbie has finally shipped to the printer, and will be hitting stores in August!
This will be the most expensive book Top Shelf has ever published, with the first printing costing us almost $200K. Why so expensive? Because Lost Girls will be published as three, 112-page, super-deluxe, oversized (9" x 12") clothbound hardcover volumes, each wrapped in a beautiful dust jacket, with all three volumes sealed and shrink-wrapped in a gorgeous slipcase. The entire epic published -- all at once -- as an art object for the ages.
And to help raise the money to pay for this print run, we've decided to offer a Signed & Numbered edition, limited to 500 copies, that will be autographed by both Alan Moore and Melinda Gebbie. This is a Top Shelf website exclusive, and the money raised through this advance sale will allow us to finance the project.
Advance orders of this special edition will ship out as soon as they arrive from the printer. But please note that this special edition will likely sell out before the summer release date, and quite possibly within days of this announcement, so pre-ordering is highly recommended.

If John and Michael are sucking each other off, and that's being discussed, I can only imagine what other depraved things Moore has written in. I think Dorothy's recollection of Oz will have her being fucked by trees and a full gay orgy between the Tin Man, Scarecrow and the Lion guy.I'm never going to be able to enjoy any of these childhood classics again :-\
CW got delayed? Damn. Is Thunderbolts and CW X-Men still coming out like that list says?Yup, CW #4 (and a handful of tie-ins like ASM) have been pushed back to the first week of September, because Joe Quesada was too busy sucking off Colbert and eating submarine sanwiches at the 'Con to oversee production. Though, I hear it's really because they're changing the original ending to number four :D
The greatest achievement Moore has ever done, in my opinion, is still Miracleman. I've read the original run, in comic form and I don't think I've ever been so captivated. That needs to be a movie.Shit, another one I still need to add to my list :-\
Sounds good, sounds good.Marvel is just starting to pick itself up again, after most of the X-Men titles have been lagging and JMS pulled down his depends and shat all over Amazing Spider-Man. If you want to get back into Marvel characters, I'd recommend picking up some of the Ultimate titles, which have been the company's saving grace for the past few years.
Has Marvel really fallen off as much as people on GAF suggest?
I already have Lost Girls. It's pretty underwhelming for the most part, unless you like old people having sex. Volume 3 is pretty OMFG thoReally? :-\
