Title: I've been on the bore for 10 Years.

On June 2 I think, I'll have been a member of the bore for 10 years. That's longer than I've had any job, any school era, and posted on GAF.

From incelish poster, constant FF arguments,  Sony Pony, and now I don't know older person who can't post as much(and maybe a secret Nintendo fan).

It's kind of strange this forum has been around this long and honestly a significant part of my life.

You guys think its a bit strange that this small community has kept going? Honestly, I love this place.

Yeah, it's a weird space. I miss some of the earlier posters, but keep up with the coolest emigrates IRL so it's not like they're gone. Just wish they still posted here.

I like that aside from the Glens and riotueses and the people who apparently silently stew over things for years (and still do) people here don't really catch feels too seriously which seems more rare on forums anymore. You and me disagree in the politics thread quite often but there's no blood feud all over the forum or when we do agree in the politics thread. People will forgive Himu or whoever for stuff all the time even after saying this is the LAST TIME. Lots of people apparently increasingly want to LARP Richard Nixon and make paranoid enemies lists these days and use social media/forums as the frontlines of their existential struggle against these constantly focused enemies but this place has done okay to avoid rewarding that kind of thing.

Even the occasional shittalking in the Discord that some people worry existentially about is mostly just that or occasional reminiscing about old stuff which could be posted on the forum with nobody really complaining except that some people no longer want to do that. (Or vice versa.)

Although there are a couple people who know who they are. (i.e. the very person reading this post right now who knows what they did)

Yes, it's a generally positive place, and by-and-large we respect each other's opinions without resorting to childish ad hominem attacks. Excepting Himu and Glen of course, and just a few others. I mean, we tease each other, but when name calling and personal attacks are a central point in arguments, that person has already lost.
