This year is literally written by Yoko Taro

"Look here is a sweet animal with a funny viral video!"

*4 weeks later*

THE ANIMAL LITERALLY DIED IN HORRIBLE PAIN AFTER ALL HIS FRIENDS WERE MURDERED

I wonder if this shit came from the Netherlands. There's like a news story every week about 50000 farm birds having to be culled because of the avian flu.

Seems like the biggest hotspot is in France. At least were farm animals are concerned.

i remember when i was a kid there was a dairy themed fun park where you got to go and milk cows and all that shite. when mad cow disease hit they had to destroy all their cattle but for some reason the park stayed open "come to the gift shop and grab a toasted tea cake in the cafe!", so you could take your kids go to look at all the empty paddocks lined with biohazard tape and learn the lovingly whimsical names and  backstories of the recently exterminated animals.

imgur's "community" is as bad as resetera's if not worse, but in this case everyone's being so positive and supportive that I don't have the heart to break it to them

someone will probably let them know eventually

and it'll be their own fauit for thinking it's valid to assume so much about a person who used to bring them joy, just based on a few random minor interactions on social media

it's more or less a picture-focused front page of reddit sort of situation, any topic...used to be funny pics, but now feels like half the front page is always politics, always era-leaning, and often the comments are full of barely coherent rants and direct calls for violence

btw someone did indeed inform them that emu girl is a horrible racist tiktok grifter so hey

Have you been on imgur? Originally it wasn't just an image host site. It was tied to reddit. For example at one point in time, if you posted and image to a specific sub it would upload to imgur and the sub had its own imgur with collected images. and it was a great way to find pictures of specific thingsike cute animals and memes. Go to imgur now. It's more than an image sharing site. If has ways been something you comment on and share. Because of how the left has taken over every got damn internet sphere and made everything political imgur has become political.
