I played this for the first time this weekend. Its pretty awesome, one of the best soundtracks I had heard for quite a while. I only managed to pass a couple of levels because I was drunk and shit but it really seemed to redeem the series.`Does it get better as you get further? Do you get any hot new attacks?

NO stay far away from both. DMC 1 is super dated and DMC 2 was never good.

Don't listen to him at all. DMC1 is still great. DMC3 is amazing and kick it's ass but they're still worth playing the first.

I have the 5th Anniversary Set still unopened sitting in a cabinet in my room. I need to beat Zelda first...which is gonna take a while. I have to be strong.
And Ninja Gaiden was too long for me. It was an awesome game and everything, but I had to push myself to finish it. And I read that the last Alma battle was made a lot harder in Black, but that's the version I played and I kicked the living shit out of her. The last battle was definitely tough though.
